I’m a new player and wondering if I should bother with this. I’ve done some reading online and it seems like something only long time players do. If it is something a low level character (level 26) could, or should do, please let me know where to go to get started. Thanks.

There is a champ farm in Labyrinth Cliffs which isn’t bad and in between there are the dolyak and crystal events. So that’s not bad. It’s designated as a level 16 zone.

The Crown Pavillion is where it’s a bit of a step up, somewhat hard bosses for the blitz, and decently challenging 1v1 in the gauntlets. THat said you’re scaled up to 80 and you can get the job done just it’s going to be a bit tougher as it’s designed for lvl 80s.

Is this a permanent feature of the game, or will it only last a few months etc.?

It ends July 1st and then season 2 of the Living Story begins. Though i’m unsure on how that will play out as they are adding a new feature that will allow you to go and hit things you missed but again not sure how that will all work. IIRC though initially it won’t have any old stuff but that will come /shrug.

But yeah couple more weeks of this, then new stuff. At the very least I recommend exploring Labyrinth cliffs a bit as it’s a beautiful place.

Seconded. Labyrinthine Cliffs is a really cool zone, and it’s very accessible to early level players, since there’s not a ton of combat and it downscales people to a relatively low level this year, since they were thinking about making it accessible to players in the recently released Chinese version of the game.

It’s just a cool place to hang out, honestly, and I find the activities there fun! It’s definitely worth a visit before it goes away for another year or whatever.

Having said that, I would steer clear of the Crown Pavilion/Queen’s Gauntlet in Divinity’s Reach if you’re new. Those seem to be designed more for higher level characters, and I don’t see them being very much fun for a new player.

The boss blitz in the pavillion would work just fine for you. You’ll die a bit quicker than the true 80s out there, but you’ll still be able to contribute and do damage to the bosses. Some gold runs have problems with uplevels, but most people out there don’t care. The nice thing about being so low out there, is that you get great xp…….it’s a fairly fast way to level your lowbie up. Just ask questions if you aren’t sure what to do, and pay attention to map chat if you get into organized runs. And mainly use single target dd……aoes will attract too many adds.

If you see me in game in Divinity’s Reach, give me a holler, and I would be more than happy to show you the ropes in the pavillion.

Best of luck!

If you’re lucky enough to get in for a gold boss blitz you’ll gain equipment and levels very quickly. I recommend you keep your gear fairly updated for your level and see if you can get into an instance. It’ll be time well spent. Just make sure you follow the commander’s directions.
