Q:
Festival of FOUR WINDS
I guess it’s just a phrase for the four directions north/east/south/west, showing the travelish nature of the zephyrites, in combination with the “weather” aspect the zephyrites are using for their movement (sun – wind – lightning).
So I don’t think that there are four specific winds/things/whatever that are mentioned in the name.
As far as I can tell, there is no specific lore within the game referring to the “Four Winds.” Generally, the term “Four Winds” refers to wind blowing from the four cardinal directions (North, South, East and West). It’s most likely a nod to the fact that the Zephyrites live on a flying ship powered both by kites catching naturally occurring wind and by the three aspects of air magic they have developed. They are, in general, very air-themed. That’s probably why both events including them (Bazaar and Festival of the Four Winds) use the phrase.
It would be like a seafaring race having a “Festival of the seven seas.”

Exactly what Hyrulean said.
I always refer to it as Beer, cabbage, pickled eggs and burritos.
But then again that may not be the four winds they are alluding too.
The Bazaar of the Four Winds is actually unrelated to the Zephyrites. They do show up to the Bazaar frequently (twice in a row this time around), but it is hosted by a different group (and by the looks of it, black market folks).
But yes, “Four Winds” usually means the four main directions of a compass.
Stop treating GW2 as a single story. Each Season and expansion should be their own story.
Just take a Leap Of Faith and accept it as the name, no explanations needed.
