Q:

Does anyone remember how the Mask of the Night Skin was originally acquired?

The Wiki simply says it comes from playing Mad King Says, which I’ve done and gotten the achievement for, but I don’t have the skin.

Was there more to it? Or possibly a choice of rewards where I picked a different one?

A:

There was a bug at the time the Mad King Says was released, it did not reward the mask properly to everyone if I remember correctly. This was fixed in a day or two, but you must have done it early on and didn’t repeat it after the fix.

Participate in rounds of Mad King Says to prove your ability to obey the maniacal monarch’s whimsies and earn yourself a
Mask of the Night!

If I remember correctly, there was a snafu with that ‘event’, and not everyone received their Mask the first time.

Bug Rewards are currently bugged. Characters may receive multiple masks in consecutive events, or may receive Trick-or-Treat Bags instead of masks the first time.

That would explain it, I think I only did it once because I had a lot on at the time (including GW1’s Halloween events) and was mainly focusing on farming candy corn.

Oh well, at least I can get the Mask now.
