No donation, no reward.
Maybe it’s just me but, there shouldn’t be any reward at Boss Blitz for those that don’t give a donation first. It would take care of the auto attackers there too.
Anyone else think it should be this way?
And people who show up right after the donations finish? screwed for a round?
Will people actually come out and post that they don’t donate but are competent team-players? Those are the only people I can fathom disagreeing with you, and if they don’t post, this thread is just self-serving.
I actually agree with OP, always toss my 11 silver for good luck anyway.
ps. If you know it’s a gold/silver map, then the wait is totally worth it, besides it won’t be that long either(5~15min, which you can farm gauntlet while waiting.)
If it’s bronze map, you either don’t care about BB or try to taxi out asap anyway.
pps. if you think you are helpful but feel cheap about donation, just toss in 1 silver, it’s cheaper than using the wp.

Quite honestly everyone just think for themselve. That’s what it come down to. See the way some group used to purge group, I don’t see what’s wrong with it.

I don’t know how much but I know 11 silver gives you “gold reward” in the donation ‘event’.

Anet should never have had a “donation” (ie pay2play) in the first place.
I think it’s an interesting idea in that it would certainly discourage AFKers/botters (yep, seen blatant bots in the event) and late comers from zerging remaining bosses in a desperate attempt to get credit, however I think there’s two problems that can arise:
1) It is punitive toward people who weren’t able to make the donation, which isn’t so bad since a gold blitz only lasts 5-7 minutes, but…
2) It is open to potential abuse by griefers with too much gold and too little sense. A handful of players can quickly fill the donation bar since there’s no maximum amount a single player can donate, which would block other people from donating as well.

20s -> silver -> karma + experience + champ bags
30s -> gold -> karma + experience + champ bags + festival tokens
Reward (karma/exp/bags) depend on Boss Blitz event result – just like now.
Then we need time limit after we reach 100% donation (like other collect events in open world). 1 minute should be OK for everybody

If this happens then I really think the DR system should be looked over as well. Sometimes I just don’t donate simply to get rid of DR. When I run regular runs (i.e. kill all bosses with like 4 minutes left on the clock) after a few rounds I’ll only get like 50 karma for killing bosses and donating. Really annoying, cause Karma is the only reason why I’m there.
Stopping with the donations for a few rounds gets rid of that DR a bit.

For donation event you don’t get karma If you don’t donate. But do you know what people who farm karma/exp do? They tag all bosses. They don’t need that one donation event because they have every run 7 events succeded and they do useless work for others..
It would be great If Boss Blitz work same way as Queen’s Gauntlet.. 10 tokens + 20silver and you can go fight with bosses.

How many bosses are you killing in this fast rounds? All of them? Then you deserve get no reward because in 4 minutes you can attack each boss only with 1-2 autoatack.. You should be grateful that others do that job for you. Because you do nothing.

Wow… accuse much? I only do 1 boss and donate. We kill bosses every 3 minutes. And yes, I get mad DR. Only getting 50 karma per event. Unless I stop donating. Seems like the donation event and the boss events are linked.
