I got 2 recipe for Chaos of Lyssa and wanted to know if i should sell them right now or wait till the end of the Crownpavilion event and then sell it because the price might go up?

I have no idea on that and im quite new in GW2 too. Thanks for any advice

It depends: do you want your money right now? Or are you patient to wait a couple of months?
Most people who really want the recipe will be buying it while the event is active. Later on, if the recipe is not made available through other means, it will more than likely rise in price over time. But you’ll have to compete with “investors” that are buying now to sell later, so it might take a bit before yours sells.

When you play the market, you’ll have to be willing to take risks. Which is why I’m bad at it, so don’t take my advise blindly^^

I have a strong suspicion that just like the Light of Dwayna and Shadow of Grenth there is a strong demand for Lyssa right now from people wanting to flip it later. My advice is to sell now if you are happy with the return right now. It’s a recipe for an item that is very costly to make, and if someone actually wanted it they will probably have got it within this month.

After this month you will be competing with all those flippers who thought they would cash out on it too. Shadow of Grenth is worth less now than when I sold 20-30 of them during Wintersday.

im patient but just like you said, i also thought that few investors going to buy them and sell them later on.
I dont know if i have a chance against them just to sell my 2 recipes before their dozens

If you are fast you can make the most gold just as the event is ending and the patch hits. I remember Dwayna recipes hit something like 32g after the event ended and I was able to dump 4 of them on someone for 25g each.

You never know if there will be another way added to get the recipe. IMO 125g or whatever the price is now is a nice price I would be happy to get. Depends on if you want to take the gamble on it raising. If nothing is added to the game, it most likely will rise, if they add some kind of vendor July 1st you could lose out.

If you are new to the game that means you need gold to finance future characters etc. I say sell it and then you can craft level your 3rd or 4th character without having to go through the leveling grind again. It’s a nice way to get through content you have played a few times and get to the content you want to play like doing the same events over and over again all the time.
