(Crown Pavillion, the area with Flame Legion)

Was killing some Vets, Downed suddenly, before i could rally suddenly Defeated.
Checked combat log, somthing called Shadowfall hit over 130k dmg, twice till i was death.
Prolly happened more times, since i noticed some animation in the spot my corpse was.

WTK?? Is this something intended or a bug ?!

It’s the AoE attack from the Liadri boss in the Queen’s Gauntlet, which is held in the platforms way above the pits. The attack should not be reaching all the way down to the bottom of the pit though.

Sounds like a good reason to separate the gauntlet instance from the pavilion instance.

I ran into this as well. Myself and a tiny asura compatriot were giving the Flame Legion simulacra hell when Liadri decided to play her cruel prank on us.

I submitted an in-game bugreport with a screenshot of my inglorious defeat and a view of the combat log. Most constructive thing you can do in this situation.

It’s called Shadowfall.

It was a shadow (so you didn’t see it) and it, well, fell from above.

Makes perfect sense! /sarcasm

I had this happen to me several times yesterday at the Flame Legion area also.

I had a group running around killing them for the achievements and we all got wiped as me ran up the ramp, was pretty funny.

It can happen the other way around as well. Was doing the hammer guy today, and suddenly there were several aoe circles in the cage. This opponent doesn’t have any aoe’s like that, so they must have come from below.
