Does anyone know what this ship with the red sails is at the top of the cliffs just below the top wp? If your at the rope walkway looking away from the white ship there is one on the left with red sails. There is even a cut scene showing it to you with the door open and golden light coming out of it.

The fact that it hovered there for a moment and let us see that is a mystery that I think Taimi may have been referring too. Secrets. Secrets and LIES!

I need to go back and look at this boat, but something interesting to consider: Canthan ships had Red Sails.

I had a post in my LA airport reconstruction theory about how the Captain’s council was already preparing to make airships of their own like the Pact has last year, till they saw the zephrites able to fly without engines, which was why they wanted a trade agreement with them.

Because Orr had now been conquerored Priory Scholars might have rediscovered the old fibres and are testing it with the zephyrite prototype in the air rather than at sea, that might have been part of the trade agreement with the Captain’s council.

You might also wanna talk to Renuu (female Asura, who can be found on the Sanctum, right in the middle, under the Wind Crystal). She’s got her own theory about the red-sailed ship…

Anyway, there are several hints about how the Zephyrites travelled to Cantha: apparently, they put up decorations of all the nations and cultures they visit, and you might already spot many Cantha-themed items throughout the Bazaar.

Also note how the red-sailed ship has very Cantha-styled lanterns and the red-and-gold cloth.

On the left a traditionally sailed western boat with rectangular sails, on the right a traditionally sailed eastern boat with triangular sails.

All of the lanterns and ‘christmas’ lights, cylindrical decoration, hanging cloth, the massive amount of bamboo, the netting, and fish baskets at ground level, confetti, ceremonial light boats, kites, and our new Canthan trader and his friends all over the place are all indicative of travel to an eastern location. However, some of the Zepherite have been eastern since the beginning indicating that they just met and hadn’t absorbed the culture completely when they came to us.
