Stop zerging on Crown Pavillion!!!!!!
Doesn’t matter, people don’t care. This is why we’re done with world content and want more instance content.

The people you would want to read this probably don’t browse the forums.
Please stop this mentality of zerging all content. The Crown Pavillion was not made for that. Is it very difficult for people to realize that? Stop acting like brainless robots who are pressing for 1 auto attack and forget everything else. This kind of attitude is forcing ANET to make the game become a big brainless zerg content. And that’s not fun!
Actually that’s how it was designed the first time around and it was fun for a lot of people, provided a good place for loot and leveling characters. Most other raid type stuff was designed for the zerg, ever since Tequatl they’re been designing more breaking up the zerg content, marionette, wurms, clockwork knights, pavilion.
I know some of you former wow raid guys want the harder stuff, which is why they need to start locking away the more coordinated stuff behind instances instead.

Most people don’t know any better since they learned to play the game by doing the Queensdale train. Like what’s been stated already, you likely will not reach these players by posting on the forums.

So very very true. Just yesterday I was talking in map chat and said “kitten it”. Among the few players that actually knew what I was (not) saying, I got about 3 players asking what the hell kitten meant. You cannot rely upon the forums to reach the masses, and players only know what they are taught by the game. ANet really needs to step up their game (pun intended) on teaching players what needs to be done IMO.
Hmm, funny because I we just had about 12 golds, and a couple of silvers in a row.
People seemed to know what they were doing and we didn’t have a full group of 6 commanders quite a lot of the time. When anyone asked what to do, people informed them of the mechanics and they followed and stopped correctly at 5ish%.
Telling people to stop zerging on the forums is useless. I’d wager that 90% or more of the people who are still zerging in crown pavillion and who don’t read or don’t listen to map chat have never even visited the forums once.
I’m all for content that discourages zerging, but this is just bad design imo.
When there are 100+ people present, who decides who gets to play? Everyone wants to participate, you can’t expect half of those people to just stand in the middle not doing a thing.
You need about 5-8 players on a boss, there are 6 bosses (less as more bosses get killed). Yet there are easily 100+ players present (courtesy of the megaserver system).
That’s just bound to fail.
What they should have done was make it so all bosses had to be killed at the same time (with a short window). This will force people to split up, organise and take on all bosses at the same time. Even when split up there are still too many players on one boss though so the scaling needs to be adjusted as well.
I agree zerging should be discouraged from time to time. But just not participating and waiting for other people to do the work for you should never be encouraged.

Right. There should have been an implementation that forces the zerg to split like there was for the Marionette and the Watch Knights. As it is people just don’t listen or are too lazy to care and as a consequence we spend about 10 minutes per boss and 15 – 20 minutes killing Boom Boom most of the time.
