Guild Wars 2

The Yak race is fun, it’s like an easy-mode guild rush. People give help and wait at the finish line and /cheer and dance and have a good time. It’s one of the more positive experiences I’ve experience in GW2, even though we usually end up with silver. I’d love to see more of these, as I don’t have the availability to do guild rushes and this seems to generate more positive vibes among strangers than Lion’s Arch/Pavilion does.

I’d also tweak the # of completions down to 50, which we don’t always get but could be pushed for. Right now people are dumping back to character select to finish it, which starts to change the mood of the chat.

I was wondering if you could complete it more than once with a single character.

And no you can only run it once during that instance of the rush. You can however run it once every time the event is up.

Not the same event, you’ll need to wait for the race finish and start another time.

I always loved the guild-rush, and this dolyak one isn’t different, except it is WAY easier, but still fun.

They should add a few of these races into the major cities. It reminds me of the beacon run in DR during that one update with the torches. Make cool content like that.

Yeah, that one was cool too. I never spent much time in DR until then so it was a pretty cool way for me to see how well done the area was.

Was about to say that myself, cuz I do like being a kitten every now and then. :P

But I wouldn’t mind more of these kinds of things outside guild missions, since they tend to hold special mechanics (looking at you, trek and challenge).

i almost forgot about the torch run, only because the balloon took longer to get..
maybe the moa racer in lion’s arch can use his moa chicks to concoct a tonic, and there can be a moa version of this dolyak race.. they can even change it every now and then as lion’s arch is being rebuilt

I was not trying to be a “kitten”. I honestly thought he wanted more content like that so I told him where he could find some. Apparently he already knows about them.

I would like more events like this outside of guild missions. The question is would there be enough population for them in the open world. It works great during a festival outside of that due to variance in population I am not sure.

Dolyak racing is fun, and definitely my favourite part of this entire update. High jumping as a dolyak is hilarious!
