I was in conversation with an ANet employee in-game who confirmed for me that the rucksack is available from the supply boxes. I poured all my gold and all my mats into buying these boxes. After selling T6 mats and ectos for gold, and converting all my available wood, leather, ore, and scraps into boxes, and after buying over 600 gossamer scraps, and over 200 linen scraps, I found myself with ~600-700 boxes. I opened all these boxes and have nothing to show for it apart from gauntlet tickets, 2500+ quartz which is useless to me at the moment, and 1000+ tokens.

Is it possible for a dev to give some indication on how much I should expect to spend on these boxes until I get a rucksack skin. After pouring everything I had into buying and opening these boxes, I want to know whether I should go on trying to buy boxes or not.

You should know by now that if you want a rare drop item in this game, it is always, 100%, definitely better to just buy it from the TP than to start gambling away your hard earned money. I’d suggest you cut your losses and buy it straight up.
