Fotm Lore?
I’m glad you made this thread i was going to make one myself about the lore of fractals.
I would like to know if we will receive any new information/lore about the old fractals?
The Blue Colossus, perhaps the most mysterious thing added to the Guild Wars universe ever, far more interesting then Scarlet, and far more mysterious then the Elder Dragons. One year later and we have received no information on this colossus and the cultists imprisoning it.
The Underwater Fractal, those mysterious human graves, were is it located in the world?
The Asura Fractal, why was it all destroyed? Why was Dessa so upset?
Will we get some answers in a future living story? Or has the lore on these fractals been completely abandoned amongst hundreds of other promised features?
I wonder what the lore will be for resetting those that progressed to 49 to 30.

Everything about the fractals is simply part of Scarlet’s master plan.

It blows up in the future and that asura is the only one remaining. for others, do not know, Urban is Ascalon War, Collosus – dunno, have no idea about underwater, for Ice fractal, SoS can open mists portals so they might have gone themselves there. Swamp – no idea.

I believe that was Arena nets way of abandoning the fractal players for a year and resetting their levels that “are not real”

This was a really popular theory but a dev already debunked it. It is not rata sum and its in the past. I’d share the link but I’m on my phone and its kind of a pain, but it should be easy to find in the lore forums. But now that they did state it isn’t rata sum… I’m even more curious. Thaumanova runoff maybe?

It’s easy to make up a story for the reset. The asura gadgets overloaded and fried when running a high level fractal. After fixing the machines, Tessa can send you to the same old 1-30 but refuses to risk the machines again on the old 31-50. She can let you find a new path in the mists starting from 31, that won’t fry the machines, if you want to do it.
