Apparently you can upgrade ascended rings to have a base +5 AR then you can infuse them for another +5 AR? I have been looking all over the webs and I have no idea how to do it. I just finished fractal 19 last night then went on to do 20 but agony killed me instantly.

Also how do you avoid agony on the final Molten boss? As soon as I walk onto the platform I get it and die instantly!

ok so, for AR on rings you can go straight into the fractals (the hub) and there’s a golem that sells you stuff for fractal relics, buy a Versatile Agony Resistance thing or w/e it’s called, put that in your offensive/defensive slot and bam you have +5.

You can get fancier infusions that give +5 AR and +5 of a stat, but those are expensive.

For getting 2 infusion slots you need to “Infuse” them, which you can find the recipe for on the Wiki (just type in Infuse and it should pop up).

As for the Agony on the final bosses, those are essentially AR checks, just gotta try to heal through it to stay up it won’t be hitting you afterwards, so long as you can avoid the fire/shockwaves/ what ever else causes AR (if it’s the jade maw that’ll be mid fight for the second agony check).

I’m guessing that he currently only has rings. Upgrading the rings gives you four slots for AR, two can have the +5 infusions you get from the golem, two need to have the chest-dropped agony resist infusions, which you need to either buy from the TP (5g for 5AR, each), or craft-upgrade with artificer. The details are in the patch notes on that front.

I strongly suggest getting additional equipment to put agony resistance into in the meantime, such as a backpiece and amulet. If you do guild missions, you can get ascended earrings for +5 each as well. Finally, crafting ascended weapons can get you another +10 for a set, either two slots on a two-hander or one slot for each one-handed weapon. Two-handers are cheaper to craft, as it costs the same for one of those as for a one-handed weapon, which you need two of.

Remember that there’s an alternative method of crafting backpieces (fractal capacitors) that requires 1850 relics (normal, not pristine, used to buy exo capacitor and gift of ascension) instead of t6 mats
