Is the forced Story play forever?
The story mode is one of the Fractals. So may as well get used to it.
If you can’t finish it or figure it out now, what would you do when it shows up during a regular run? If I was looking for a group to play Lv.30+ Fractals with, I certainly hope we all know what to do in each Fractal.
this story mode is a decent challenge, it’s not that bad come on.
And now it’s easy:

It is hard? You talk like it’s some really terrible thing.
At my 1st run, we figured it out in 20m.
I’ve done the story 3 times (to help guildies), and 1 time in exploration mode. It took me about 20m each. I actually want to run it more, to explore everything (to find the 3rd cooling rod =.=)
in my opinion, this is the most fun fractal so far. Especially the last boss.
Not to mention the shocking revealation about Dessa at the end.
tl;dr: use Dulfy’s guide

The story mode requirement goes away once you finish it, and I believe will be removed entirely after these two weeks.
If you’re trying to solo it, don’t. It’s the same as the fractal you’ll get in “regular” mode and as such requires a group.
If you’re in a group with somebody who has already completed story you can skip it by having them start the instance.

in order to figur the laser part… you have to randomly happen by the 1st switch hidden in the labyrinth…(luckily happened to me).
Being smart has nothing to do with it….
A PvE player is supposed to avoid a 1-2 second 1 shotting aoe.
A WWW player is considered uncapable of avoiding a 5,75 second aoe for half his health.
If you’re in a maze like room and can’t figure out what to do, explore it.
You can do the fire room instead of the turret room, in which case you do need to go in to the turret room but leave when you find the cooling rod.
