Mid level player never done fractals.
I’d suggest if you use LFG that you start your own group, and say it’s level one new player. Or that you take note of the nice people on the forums who have said they like to show new fractalers the ropes and give them a polite holler to see if they have room/time to help you.
I’d offer but I a) am hardly uber at fractals though I know the basics and b) might not have a lot of time, depending on whether we’re grocery shopping tonight or tomorrow.
Use LFG feature. Hit “Y” goto fractals… type lfg fractals 1. Be level 80 and have exotic gear.
You don’t have to be 80. You get scaled up. It’s just much easier if you are 80 and geared.
Look, add me to friends and then ping me if you see me. My guild’s mostly offline right now so it might be tomorrow before I can test the new fractals but I’ll be glad to find a slot for you and explain the mechanics, as I expect they’ll remain the same in the first few levels.
Since my highest char is only 37 should I just wait do fractals later and concentrate on the regular content? I did enjoy the tower but I certainly ended up dirt napping in a log of the nightmare instances and had to just keep chipping away at them.
It’ll never be easier than now to get into Fractals. If you dont have to wait, dont.

lv37 should be fine for the 1-9 scale fractals assuming you can handle your character. There might be “some” deaths if the whole group is new but that is the nature of learning encounters in GW2. You could also read up on the different fractals to reduce the chance of that!
Since my highest char is only 37…
i once did a run with a lvl 7… he was awesome.
give it a try.
Many thanks all! I will give it a go
