New fractal A lie?[spoiler]
Also, the fractal portrays the inquest as the good guys who you play as which is probably not likely.
Yeah, and in the ascalon invasion fractal you play as the flame legion, that doesn’t mean they’re the good guys.

Just saying Kiel could have crafted the fractal for propaganda against scarlet not that we need it most want her dead. Or to hide who really did it. As fotm experiments is really like dugeon crafting how much truth of real events can you get out of them.

For my anti Kiel theory I though I should add it.
If this was already mention i apologies [spoiler]
Because fractals show alternative versions of history i was wondering if the new Thermanova fractal might be a fake. To inspire hatred of scarlet and motivate people against her. Apparently Kiel threatened Desda in story mode to make the fractal her way and this might have caused the instabilities we are experiencing now in fotm to maintain this fake fractal.
Maybe Kiel was the real perpetrator, It was never explained how she knew how to use inquest tech and would be much less boring then scarlet did it.

It’s a viable theory, and supports my earlier Guru-hosted assertion that Kiel isn’t as good as she seems. Especially since she immediately went away from her do-gooder pillar of justice character when she won the election, what with her numerous “slips” of the tongue in the fractal story mode dialogues. She maneuvered her way into power by playing the good guy so the players would like her. But I think she’s got a lot going on behind the scenes.

That would be fun…but I fear such a storyline is too complex for Anet…remember back when Jubilee was about to be released, and we all said: “the watchknights getting out of control is too obvious, so at least we know THAT won’t happen”?

That’s the thing with complex storylines: you don’t really see them coming until it’s too late.
The obvious things you see happening could very well just be a red herring. Simple facepalm obvious stuff that is taking center stage to distract you from the truly devious behind the scenes?
An advantage to this is that you can progress your ruse pretty easily while taking your time with the truly juicy stuff.
That or I’m just being really hopeful. Sue me.

No worries. Unlike Anet, I don’t like to ‘Sue’ characters relevant to the plot.

Well are you satisfied with the new fractal? I am not and it left a bitter taste in my mouth. It was one of the worst "dungeon"like additions to the game we’ve had since release.
Currently playing Heart of Thorns.

And the NPCs whom we’ve met but don’t display any recognition towards us have had their memory wiped in a nefarious plot to confuse and disorient us — so that whoever is behind all this can swoop in and attack at the optimal moment of weakness.
Or: Anet is just making it up as they go, not bothering sufficiently with the details.
I think Dessa is working with Scarlet. She send her to Thaumanova and to Abaddon. And she actually never had the memory loss.
