New infusion requirement formula.
The formula is simple and at the same time devastating.
If the resistance we want is X then the number of +1 agony infusions we need is:
2^(X-1)So if we want +10 agony resistance we need: 2^(10-1) = 2^9 = 512
Yes you heard me right to get a +10 infusion we need 512 of the +1 infusions.
Now if that doesnt get to you then here is how many are needed to get +15 and +20:
For +15 its: 2^14 = 16384
And for +20 its: 2^19 = 524288Yes for a +20 infusion we have to do over half a million fractals. So to get that level of an infusion by doing 1 level i.e. 4 fractals per hour it would take about 15 years playing 24/7 non-stop.
That supposes that infusions of grade +2 and higher don’t drop. That also supposes you don’t get more than one +1 infusion per fractal (I got 2 in the same fractal last night at level 20).
Yeah it is a ridiculous grind to be sure, but not as bad as you say. Also having not looked at the numbers on what resistance gets you negligible agony on 40-49, I am sure you don’t NEED anything more than +10 infusions in your rings.
Seems like 55 is enough to take 1% at lvl 40, so not more than that seems to be needed before higher levels are opened. That means you can get away with not crafting infusions for now.
That also assumes that you can reuse old infusions. I don’t know either way, but it would be possible that say you put a +4 in, you need two seperate +4s to make a +5. That would mean you need 3 of each, assuming you use one in your item and then CAN’T reuse it to make another one.

This is true. If you replace one of your +5s with a +6, you can’t use that +6 to make a +7.
So, just save your +1s until you get to the point where you actually need more AR.

The price for a +1 is at 39s right now, do you know how much 1024 cost (not to leave out the 1023 Thermocatalytic Reagents)? That’s why you don’t see more than +11 at the moment.
At higher levels you get “3 +1 infusions” and such, so probably you will not get “+5 infusion”, but “X +1 Infusions”.
And you don’t get too many from the first fractals. I now leveled to 37 and got ~34 in total. So it’s a little time to play for those numbers. Glad we don’t need them yet.

No, I belive that there is no +12, otherwise we would see it on the TP, even thought there is no selling/buying order.
I have a feeling ascended armor will be ‘infusable’ so we should have plenty of slots to put these new infusions in.
look at it this way 2 +5 infusions would take 32 +1’s, a single +10 would take 1024 +1’s, which would you rather do?
We see on TP only if it has been put on the TP or in the bank. They already stated this in the past.
