Scarlet.....did we vote for her?
If we had chosen the Abaddon fractal, we would have gotten Scarlet as the force behind the fall of Abaddon.
However, the election was extremely biased towards Kiel:
- Kiel is human, most players identify with humans.
- WP cost reduction appeals to far more people.
- The Thumanova reactor is known to almost all GW2 players while Abaddon is pretty much known only to those who played GW1.
- Kiel was introduced as a good character, while Evon, as a bad one.
…and there was practically no chance Evon would have won anyway.
Kiel = Like
Evon = Oven
It was a deliberate testing of subliminal ruse by ArenaNet. They never had any intention of creating the Abaddon fractal. They were only interested in controlling the minds of the playerbase. It worked extremely well.
Conspiracy theories and apophenia abound on these forums, it seems.
Scarlet is in charge of subliminal control on the forums. Scarlet rigged the vote.
Scarlet also manipulates the Tea Party, and shut down Mt Rushmore.
Scarlet was mentioned for the first time before the election. Mai Trin mentioned her when she was defeated, and Kiel was with us when that happened (she was still an Inspector). Actually, Magnus only put Kiel’s name forward as a contender because she succeeded on finding Theo Ashford’s murder (it is not like Marjory did everything… Oh wait). Poor Theo Ashford…
She would have shown up even if we had elected Evon. Be glad that she didn’t ruined Abaddon’s fractal instead.
I hate Kiel very much, btw, but that’s because she steals credit of other npcs and her attitude makes me cringe.

I can’t stand her attitude either, she not likeable at all.
If Evon won, we wouldn’t have had Scarlet in the Fractals.

That would have been impossible. The fall of Abaddon was god knows how long before Scarlet was even born. But I wouldn’t put it past Anet to pull off something ridiculous like that.
I do agree that the elections were very biased. I did call it out a couple of months ago, but here you have it.
It doesn’t matter that the Fall of Abaddon was ages before Scarlet. She could simply invade the fractal pretty much like we do every time we run one, just to make it harder for us.
(Or she could just time-travel and show up at the Fall of Abaddon anyway, maybe using the Infinity Ball’s tech)
