2 weeks after you give us the ability to increase our agony resistance for a stupid amount of gold, you come out saying that we can craft ascended armour which (I’m assuming) come with infusion slots.

So we can get another 30 AR on this armour for a total of 450 fractal relics?

All the gold those spent on boosting their agony resist via AR infusions will be a waste of time considering it will probably cost the equivalent to just craft armour to 500 and put those simple versatile infusions in.

Anyone else regretting boosting their agony resist?

If I was more cynically-minded, I’d think that ANet did this on purpose to drain more gold from the game’s economy.

The question about using Transmutation Stones to move AR from one armor set to another is a good one though! Can infusions be transferred as part of transmutation? Would love an answer from someone who’s done it before.

It’s not about lack of Infusions to put from the accessories to the armour.
It’s about the wasted gold in crafting Agony Resist infusions spent in rings and back piece, to a number higher than the +5’s we got from the update, when we could have simply spent that gold on ascended armour instead and placed simple +5 infusions in to the infusions slots on the armour.

Ah. Well, you haven’t “lost” the infusions then. Those extra AR points will continue to be valid, and may be needed when ANet ups the maximum Fractals level beyond 50. You’ve got a headstart on other players when that happens.

This was one thing they actually told us about well in advance – it was nice of them.
I just wonder when the “legendary” armor and trinkets etc will be released.

Do I upgrade everything now or do a skip knowing it will be possibly superseded in the next 6 months with something better.

Decisions, decisions – such a hard thing to predict what to do best and when.

Oh cmon you knew ascended armour was coming, if you wanted to rush to level 50 that was your choice, there was no need to do so immediately.

I don’t know if the armors will come with an infusion slot. In the previews the only upgrade slot listed was the one for runes.

I was seriously expecting them to add something like the Crown Pavilion before releasing more Ascended crafting. It is sorely needed after all the ridiculous gold sinks that have been introduced recently. But I guess it is designed as an incentive for players to get gems with RL cash.

While 85 AR, or even 70 AR without any of the new infusions, is more than enough for current fractal levels, there will be higher fractals in the future. Your money is not wasted.

And remember, we will never be able to get any higher than 70 AR from just basic infusions.

Also, it seems a bit simplistic that you only counted the cost of the infusions and not the cost of creating the armor itself.

In the item codes, there are no infusion slots in ascended armor. No need to pearl clutch over it.

I’m guessing if ascended armor did have slots for agony resist, it’ll be the new agony infusion slot. To infuse the armor will probably require Shard/Glob/Vial of mist essences. This way, if you got the higher agony resist for the back/rings, they will not be wasted.

Darn. I was looking forward to that extra +30 precision from armor infusions (though not the grind to get it -_-).

Fractal weapon boxes are with us. We just can’t reach them.

This is not considered a bug.

The Fractal Skin Box is not dropping for the Fractal levels currently available (up to level 50).

It’s not accessible to anyone at this time.
