Me and my party are struggling what to do with these cooling rods. Can someone explain how we’re supposed to do this, please?

There are two cooling rods. One is in the south room where you get barraged by spark cannons. The other one is in the north, where you have to fight a decent fight against a boss.

Where do you put them? We had to get someone’s warrior to force his way through the room with the fire floor to advance.

There two cooling area. I did not do it myself, but the person that did have a near infinite dodge to do so.

we just got into cannon room, clicked there something, killed ooze, brought 1 rod from ooze to melting room and killed last boss

In the west room were you get burned to death, there are walls with green and red bars across (red meaning it is missing a cooling rod). The first wall is on your immediate left, the other wall for the cooling rod is further down the room.

Not sure if this is working as intended, but appearantly you can right out ignore the cooling room (meaning, you can also ignore the subject 6 champ).
As soon as you’ve completed the room with the lightning canons, the teleport to the instability boss-champ gets activated and you can go there. All else seems to be optional.

There is one cooling rod on the left side of the laser cannon room and one after killing Subject 16. My party collected both, only to notice that you need a third one in order to deactivate the heat room. Anyone got a clue where the third might be?

You don’t even need the two you can find. My party carried them around with us, and never figured out what to do with them. We killed the final boss and finished the instance.

in the fractals explorable however we had to finish 3.
So we had to do the fire room as well

ENGINEERS: IF YOU SWITCH SKILLS WHILE HOLDING A ROD IT WILL DISAPPEAR.

Then you can’t complete the fire room. So be careful.

I can not confirm this. I was doing this in the fractals explorable and we did not have to do the cooling chamber to complete the fractal.

My guess is that the number of objectives that need to be solved depend on the fractal level. With fractal level 10 (and below?), it is not needed to complete the heat chamber.
