Walk through the radiated room?
Killing the ooze gets you a control rod to insert into the reactor, which I guess turns off the radiation. Of course, you don’t have to actually do that, as killing the ooze lets you skip ahead to the final boss.
We never saw any Ooze.
- We entered the radiated room and wiped.
- Then we did a part involving shields and knockback-turrets (not even sure if we finished that).
- Then we tried the radiated room again and got to the two consoles at the end which spawned Scarlet and the final boss.
