and it’s going to be in a few hours

Not in most of the world.
And the date is for where ArenaNet are active, which means they still have over 12 hours left

27.11.2013 in Russia. all updates was in time. This one is late.

yea i know, this one is specially late for some reason, i thought i could experience it before i gtg but guess not.

The updates are normally around noon (pacific time). Haven’t seen it at any other time. Just give it a couple of hours and see what’s going to happen

It’s not late yet. They typically launch in my zone at 1pm and it’s 1:02pm right now.

Yeah, in my experience it’s been between 1 and 2 EST. It just turned 1. So hold your horses. Yeesh.

They’ve released as late as 10pm my time in the past, which is 4 hours from now. Recently they’ve been pretty consistent at releasing around this time, but they’ve never specified a time or timezone before.

Maybe there are not-yet-fixed bugs, and I’d rather wait than play a corrupted version of the game.

by now you shoudl know that when Anet gives a date, the date is related to where their main office is. Somewhere in the US. It’s noon-ish there, they have plenty of time to give the patch and still be in time for their deadline.

Lol, wouldn’t recommend it. The difference here, is they never said they’d release it at 1. 1pm is the standard launch time, but 3pm is around when I’ve seen ’em too.

I live in NZ and yes it’s also the 27th here. But I KNOW that it’s the 26th in America for quite a while longer…
From my own experience updates usually aren’t for another hour but they have been later in the day. Seriously though, it doesn’t matter what time it drops because the only thing we have actually been told is the DATE.

They are late. There is evening in central europe but update usualy comes afternoon.

You are most certainly correct in a technical way. However since the majority of previous updates happened on average about … three hours ago, this update is later than anticipated.

Later than the user base anticipated is not equivalent to LATE though.
Late would imply that a deadline had been set that had subsequently been missed. They never told us a time and therefore, unless they don’t manage to release it until the 27th, they cannot be late…

No seriously now….iirc most patches where release within a certain time window, around 6 hours, most even within 2 hours.
Meaning, just as an example, most patches where release say between 6pm and 8pm in “my” timezone.
So atm, its about 20 minutes over ‘regular patching time window" I’d say, but there are still about 4 hours left for the “extended patch window”.
If the patch isnt release until then, well it will be an expetionally late patch I guess :-)
