max agony resist needed for lvl 50 fractal
I suspect you will have that answer in a few days, as soon as the first people hit level 50. The first will most likely get there today. No lifers

Hitting max level is not the same as receiving 1% damage though. I’d give it a few days until we know (: The first player will surely hit 50 today.
People with 55 AR pre patch still have 55 AR (well, I assume, according to what I read, as I can’t play currently because of hardware issue)… They said they reduced AR required for 30-50…

Patch notes say this:
Fractal level 50 is now possible, even with excessive agony damage.
So 55 ar might not be enough.

I don’t know about after the patch, but before it was estimated that you’d need ~980 AR to get past jade maw at 50. I don’t know if that kept increasing at 60-80, but that was the wall we faced. Currently, I heard the new infusions maxed out at +10 meaning the most you can get is 70 AR, so aiming for that high number is irrelevant anyway.

Anet told us that there are 19 instabilities meaning that scale 50 does not have any. Maybe this scale has increased agony damage (more than it should have) until they unlock 10 more scales at which point scale 60 has increased agony damage and scale 50 gets its own instability.
Of course after resetting everyone to scale 30 because they have not completed scale 50 properly (with correct instability). It could be used as a reason for resetting progression.

Whoever told you that is wrong, seeing as there are +11infusions on the TP right now, im guessing 15 or 20 is max.

Or maybe if you complete it, the fractals will go haywire and let you relive your own previous fractals adventures at lower levels? Starting from 30.
Agony resist is something they don’t have to hold back the vertical progression on, considering it doesn’t affect normal play. When they do introduce 51+, they could easily double the maximum resists and make it seem like those +10 resists are now +1, so that the maximum for 50 is the minimum for 51. Fractals are after all designed for that type of player and since it’s just a number change, there’s nothing stopping them from requiring you to eventually have a resistance of over 9000.
