A Brief Introduction to the Knights
The Aureus Knights are a multi-game guild formally established in 2006, and whose founding council has been gaming together since Ultima Online. We’re comprised of players from all over the world, who enjoy all types of play styles – we celebrate the diversity our members bring.
The Knights are built on a foundation of principals that we uphold above all else: respect, honor, loyalty and friendship. We treat all members new and old as welcomed friends. We have a flat leadership structure that ensures fairness and transparency. Finally, we have strong belief that drama does not belong in gaming. Simply put, we put our members first so everyone can relax and have fun.
We’re a mature, family-friendly guild that puts our members’ lives ahead of our games; we take our gaming seriously, of course, but not at the cost of our personal lives. We do not burden members by requiring them to attend specific events. Your level of involvement with the guild is always at your own discretion.
Our Guild Wars 2 chapter was established early in the Beta and we expect to remain active in the game for the foreseeable future.
What we offer
Aside from providing a stable and friendly environment, the Knights are constantly organizing dungeon runs, group questing and exploration trips, and multiple WvW events per week. We’ve become a formidable force on the battlefield and have established close relationships with a number of Maguuma guilds to organize strong offensive and defensive strategies.
We have a large Mumble server and very active guild forums. Recruits who pass our trial period and become Knights are welcome in any and all of the games we play, and are granted access to our private Minecraft (Tekkit) server.
Joining the Knights
Joining us is easy. First, review our charter and make sure you’re a good match. Next, register with our site and head over to the recruitment forum to submit an application. You should receive a trial invite within a few hours.
Trial periods usually last about two weeks, after which those who pass are promoted ingame and on the forums and permitted access to withdraw from the guild bank, access our members-only services, and so on.
