Hi all,

Myself and some of my friends are currently looking for a guild to call home..

We are all part of a 10 year old gaming community, however this community does not really play GW2 currently (other than the few of us looking for a new home)

Who We Are

We are all mature (30-40 ish years old), English Speaking, although we live in the UK, Denmark and Sweeden, we all have Real Lives that come first, but enjoy GW2, PvE etc. Typically we play at odd times EU evening, and here and there at weekends when it fits in to our lives, we also have weekly dungeon runs.

What we are looking for

A laid back, mature guild with no kids shouting off in Leet speak, and no drama’s please.. We’re a helpful bunch, not Elitist players so guilds that demand a certain playstyle, playtime or event attendance are not our thing… The better and more community like the guild is, the more of a family feel it has the more we are likely to play and contribute…

Most of us have a level 80 character, or soon to be 80 (74 myself :P) – we have one slacker who can’t make up his mind so I think he has 5 level 30’s currently

So, if you are a guild that you think fits the bill, please post below, giving us a few details to check out.. We won’t be making our minds up at the drop of a hat, and actually I am away with work for a week, so won’t be going through any/all of the answers for at least a week, (and I promise we will review all the posts)..

Oh, currently on Blacktide server, but are willing to move servers for the correct guild…

We are a PvX guild on Desolation with a nice community.
Also we do daily dungeon runs as well as other events like tpvp and wvwvw.
All members are welcome to join in on the events as we do support teamplay, but we don’t force anyone to come for things they don’t want to do.

I have read your post and wanted to reply and offer you and your friends a spot in our small cosy laid back guild.

We have only 30 members atm, and we are steadily growing, but we still maintain to keep the family feeling.

Most of our members are 18+ right now, I would not mind taking younger members, as long as it wont be the majority of our roster.

Although we are small, we have a very active group of people now, we play every day and mostly play together in party.

Sounds like your playstyle is very similar to ours. We are a relaxed and mature guild with weekly dungeon runs and we are also starting weekly WvW runs. Outside those weekly runs most are focused on the PvE part of the game. And no runs are obligated to attend. We keep our roster small on purpose (around 30 members) so people get to know eachother better. Most of the chat happens in guildchat, but we do have a mumble server that we use for guild runs or when we feel like it. You can find a bit more information on our website: Modern Family

I am one of the founders of “House of Anarchy” in the Gandara server. We are not in a US server but since you said you are mostly from UK I thought you might be interested. We are a small Guild (3 people at this moment). But we are looking forward to grow into a nice community. We are very active in the late afternoon and night. Connecting almost every night.
We host organized WvW and Dungeons nights! Also we help each other level up and share our crafts to better equip our characters. We have guild bank and emblem. Our goals are keep on increasing the influence to be able to upgrade for the emblem armor and weapons, also to get the specific banners that boost WvW and economy, while enjoying playing.

Howdy to all the guilds that have been replying to our little call for a new home \o.

I’m the slacker, although within our community I’m the guy that points the way to all the new and upcomming MMO’s and was one of the main ppl getting our members hyped up to play GW2.

I’m very happy to see so many responses, it’s just a shame we can only choose one of you to call home. We are at this moment debating over who to pick and it’s no easy choice, you all look very capable guilds.

What you guys will be getting are some great ppl, we have always believed that the person is recruited, never the toon, and we have stuck together for many many years through quite a few MMO’s, but we are all a very easy going and friendly group of ppl who are both chatty and helpful.

Anyway it’s Saturday morning and I really should be lvling that Warrior of mine (this one is a keeper).

DEA on Yak’s Bend is a very active, casual guild that was made for players who enjoy grouping up and playing the game with other people a majority of the time.

We have almost 200 members, half of them log in every day, and a lot of them are friends and family. Guild events are at least once a week in which we get in groups and do entire zones, but none are mandatory.

We are mainly PVE, but there are some who pvp and we have members of all levels. Whether you’re looking to level, do events, find world bosses, run dungeons, or pvp, we do it all and we have fun doing it.

I am currently running a friends and family guild on Maguuma [US]. Most of us are in our 30s with jobs and many of us have children. As such, we tend to get together most in the evenings EST and have blast grouping together and socializing as we complete all kinds of content but mostly with a PvE focus. My guild has zero required events or scheduled play time although we do highly encourage organizing optional events. Heroic Heroes of Heroism was founded by several friends who have known each other, and have gamed together for well over 10 years. Hey Kruppe,
I’m a bit hesitant to post here because your group has so many great choices to choose from, some that would probably fit you guys perfectly. I decided to give it a shot anyway, and I hope your group will at least check us out and maybe reach me for a chat to see what we have to offer.
The reason why I’m posting is because I sincerely need people like you. My GW2 based guild on the Isle of Janthir has been growing and becoming a serious WvW guild, enough that our active guild now needs coverage in other time zones to make a bigger impact on our server. If your group were to join us, you guys would be a very important part of our guild, as your group will be one of the early contributors of our UK/Euro team.
Just to give you guys an idea of what terrible troubles you’ll be getting into, our guild is NA based. This mean our guys probably start playing when it’s about 9PM for you guys! Now, we’ll fortunately be on all night, so we’ll still be there for you insomniacs and night owls, but the early evening activity may be weak. With that said, however, the hours would be just perfect on weekends (as a bunch of us play all day), and we are currently looking to recruit other people in your zone, as well as in the GMT +8 zone (would just overlap perfectly with both our zones).
Another point of interest for you guys is that we’re a very mature, active, and tight group. We’re all working adults or students here (20-40s) and we don’t clock anyone or force anyone to do anything, as we’re all responsible for ourselves. We also like to chat and really get to know one another – so much so that I had to stop recruiting for a bit because we were growing a bit quickly. Best of all, we let our guys play their own style – be the best you want to be your way, and we’ll just roll with it. We’re a PvX guild because we’re confident we’ll be great at whatever we do!
So if you guys are willing to take a chance and join a strong, active guild that may not be exactly perfect time-wise, but close to it, please check us out. We have space right in our core group for your team and you guys will truly be a central part in our long-term mission.
