Creating a guild is too easy!
I don’t like the systems in those games. In World of Warcraft you would have to spam the trade channel to even get people to sign your guild charter, then most the time you would have to resort to paying them to sign it along with the amount you have to pay to actually make the guild. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad in Guild Wars 2 since you can be in more than one guild, but I don’t think people would want to pay to start a guild.
I understand there is probably some guilds out there that has no players and no one is active anymore, but that’s up to the leader to disband it.
I understand what you dont like with y idea but the amount of “gold” you needed was not much, but much for a very low leveled player.
If you wold compare it to guild wars currecy it was like 50 silver.
And as a low levled player its easier to begin to understand the game if you join a guild with experienced players, they can teach you things and do dungeons with you.
If you create your guild free as a beginner its easy to be alone with some non-active low leveld guildmates.
