Greetings fellow gamers,
Order of Shadows [OoS] is recruiting new members.
OoS has been around since the launch of GW2 and is not a multi-game guild, though many of us have played other MMOs in the past. We started out as a friends and family guild, but over time decided we wanted to expand, meet new people and make new friends in the game. We are a semi-casual, 18+ (with a few F&F exceptions), PvX guild that is based on the Darkhaven server. What we mean by semi-casual is that we all have lives outside of the game and we recognize that by not having a set attendance policy. However if you are coming with us to a guild event we expect you to be ready to work hard and pay attention, while still being able to joke around. We are more than happy to teach new players the ropes as well as hone our veteran players skills. We love progressing as a guild, but are more than happy to help our members attain their personal goals as well. We like to have a good time and so if cursing or a few off-colored jokes offend you then we are probably not the guild for you.
What we can offer you:
- A Small/Medium sized guild with close to 50 members of which 20 are active on almost a daily basis, but we are always looking for more active members.
- Our Guild is run off of CST, but we have members from several different time zones. We have runs during the day and at night that are scheduled on a weekly basis.
- We use Ventrilo on our runs. You don’t have to have a mic, but we would love if you would at least listen in so you don’t miss out on the conversation.
- We run guild bonuses daily and will drop specific banners if requested to by members.
- We have knowledge on every dungeon in story mode and most of them in explorable. If we haven’t had first hand experience on an explorable mode we are quick to learn the ropes.
- We are not looking to become one of the super guilds that have 500+ members. We want to be able to know all of our members on a first name basis; no one gets lost in the crowd.
- We don’t play favorites when it comes to who goes on dungeon runs. We use sign-ups and have rules to go along with those so everyone has an equal chance.
- We have unlocked guild bounties and are diligently working to open other guild missions.
- We schedule WvW twice a month, but are open to going into battle more often.
- We only ask you to rep our guild 3/4 of the time you are in game. We understand that you might have an sPvP guild since that is not our focus or perhaps a very small F&F guild that you spend some of your time in as well. Though the more time you spend repping with us the more we can offer you as a guild.
- We don’t require that you set a main character; we want you to be able to play whatever character you are enjoying the most.
