Well met, traveler.
The following pertains to the guild:

ENGIVATION [ENVA] on Tarnished Coast

First let me show you the best places to look into us:

Guild Site

Mission

Screenies

Lore

There will be some extra information in the second post that did not make the cut for length in the first post, skim over to find what sections most pertain to your interests!

Play style

We are a casual guild of friends whose primary goal is to have fun – as it should be. There is an interest for every activity Guild Wars 2 has to offer within our ranks, PvE being the most common thread among our members. Don’t fret, there are avid PvPers and jumping puzzle enthusiasts (myself included) to be found, as well. There are no time commitments, or required attendance policies, but we do love to be clued in. If you’re going to be away on a trip for a month, let us know! Don’t just fall off the face of the earth. The thing with a guild like this is that we notice when someone goes missing, because we do care about each and every one of our players.

Guild Missions

Even though we have a smaller sized guild (currently sitting at ~30) we were able to pull together and achieve the required influence to purchase the necessary upgrades! We are just beginning to run guild missions, and already have enough influence to open up Guild Trek once Economy reaches the 6th tier.
We make every effort to let the entire guild know when these activities will be, we try very hard to foster the bonds of community that makes this guild so special. We do this by:

  • Posting a GMotD to announce when we plan to start the event.
  • Posting a message on our guild website about the events occurrence.
  • Posting a mumble daily message as a third method of notification.

It is very important for a guild to do things with one another, and guild missions are the absolute best way to achieve this – since dungeons can only hold 5 people per run.

Voice Chat

We feel very strongly about voice chat – not necessarily meaning that you have to vocally participate. It is from experience that groups are able to perform more effectively when commands and ideas can be ushered vocally, leaving the keys to do your physical action-based bidding. While it may be true that a sword is – at times – able to speak more effectively than a person’s words, this is not true in the case of stopping mid-combat to type a strategy that is in need of instant application.

The above paragraph made it seem like we only use it as a tool, but truly, it is much more a facilitator of open communication. Talking is a more sincere form of speaking to one another, and some of the strongest bonds that I have forged come from the ridiculous late night talks of a sleep deprived group just having a wonderful time.

As I said, you are not required to speak, but it is required that you have mumble downloaded and accessible. When you are in a group of guildies, you must be on mumble so that those who wish to speak are able to do so without leaving you out of the loop.

Two Week Trial

We use a two week “trial” period to make sure new recruits mesh with the guild well. The two weeks is “loose” in that we have had a recruit join, play an entire night with the guild, fit in perfectly, and made a member within 12 hours of joining.
Being a recruit will basically last until the recruit either:

  1. Plainly fits in well
  2. Doesn’t enjoy the guilds company and we part ways cordially

We understand that some people are shy, so if you come into the guild and two weeks go by without us getting a real feel for who you are and how well you mesh, you will not be kicked! The trial will just continue on.

This, as you might have gathered, is just a measure to ensure guild harmony – hold the drama at bay. This is not in any way shape or form a “test” to be passed, and we hope no recruit ever views it as such a suppressing venture.

Duties

There is very little expected of a guild mate when it comes to duties:

  1. Sign up on the guild website
  2. Download Mumble
  3. Be respectful to all members
  4. Help one another when possible
  5. Have fun

This probably could have been left out entirely, but I feel it very simply shows the casualness of our guild.

Dye Parties

The three leaders have an unhealthy obsession with dye. Once you become a member there will be free dye offered in the guild’s treasure trove. We ask that people only take it for their main, and no more than 10 at a time – and if possible, they refill it with extras when they have them. We are also interested in having some sort of guild activity revolving around a dye lottery, so hopefully that will come to fruition soon.

My Two Cents

I feel very passionately about this group of people, many of which I have played with since launch. I will say that there was a period of time when the three guild leaders (The Triumvirate) were absent for a prolonged period (~2 weeks), and we were astounded when we returned to an even stronger guild than had been left. People stepped up and took control of guild upgrades, made a working guild roster for deciphering names, nicknames, and rankings, and all of this without the guidance of any of the leaders!

There are many great people within this guild, and I could continue to gush for many pages yet, but I won’t. Just believe me when I say that if you’re looking for a smaller sized, close knit guild to be a part of, you should give us a try.

So if you’re interested, head on over to our site and apply, I very much doubt you’ll regret it.

Again, if you have any questions of any sort, reach out to one of us.

Hi everyone : )

I’m Harrlee, one of the three guild leaders, and I just wanted to stop in and second everything that Toricane has said above. Lot’s of shenanigans going on within our walls, and we’d love for a few more to join us and be a part of them.

I also wanted to link some pictures from last night! Our first attempt at a guild mission was a success, we had a lot of fun arranging ourselves, hunting down a few before start, and then taking them down. We’re excited to do more of them, as we’ve heard they only get better : )

ENVA’s First Guild Mission After Party!

The guy with the ridiculous afro is Toricane… Just sayin. ; )

Hello everyone!

My name is Solierre, member & one of dolyaks of ENVA. Just bumping this thread so people can know how awesome we are haha Seriously, just give us a try if you’re looking for a small-ish guild that cares about each and every member. We have people who are into dungeons, WvWvW/PvP, alt-leveling, JPs, achievement hunting, etcetera in varying degrees of casual-ness. We only have about 35 members right now, but what we lack in quantity, we more than make up in quality (just check out the screenshots on our website linked above!).

Our members are mostly based in the US/North America but we have awesome friends from the other side of the world too so if you’re on Asia/Oceanic timezone, you’ll still have a couple people to play with. We started doing Guild Bounties last week (and it was awesome!) and will have Guild Treks available soon. We would definitely love to have more like-minded individuals to come join our party. We don’t care if you’re new to the game or an old player coming back from a break, we will welcome you with open arms!

Greetings fellow Guild Wars 2 players!
Posting a bit late on our thread buttsss I am present now!…
I am Katsya Isholt (also called N)… another one of the three guild leaders of ENVA.

It’s kind of amusing that when our guild first started it wasn’t our main guild, it was just a side guild for storage… a refrigerator of sorts for the abundance of consumables we accumulated while leveling our cooking professions. Too many nomnoms, ya know? Then we even made use of it for storing the extra dyes we got from our hardcore nightly dye binges. I’m talking ‘~3k dyes opened at a time’ type of binges.

However, after some time, Toricane, Harrlee Quinn, and I got tired of those large 300+ person guilds. Type of guilds where you may get lost in a sea of people, guild leaders only care about the amount of people and not the quality, and so it just feels like a group of strangers with a few cliques here and there. Not everyone spoke, not everyone had a name. Not too fun at times for it was far too impersonal. So to me at least, I didn’t feel that I was a part of something worthwhile.

Thus we brought ENVA back in the picture. Just starting off with a small group of friends that really enjoyed grouping together to slowly adding people who share the same ideals and are just plain fun to be around… whether it was doing wvwvw, pve, fractals, dungeons, jump puzzles, rp, exploring, guild missions or just standing about having parties enjoying eachother’s company! We’ve come a long way, and have a pretty solid core of awesome members.

Currently, we have over 35 members, and continue to steadily grow. We will always endeavour to maintain our friendly, casual, and close knit atmosphere even with growth. Together we overcome challenges and strive to uphold our mission statement. [http://enva.enjin.com/aboutus] So if you are looking for a small growing guild with all the above, please give us a try! Come get to know us, and let us get to know you!

Our site, [http://enva.enjin.com/], is the best way to get a response quickly.
Also, contact me anytime! @ mdr.5732 as well.
Cheers,
-Katsya Isholt
TLDR; ENVA looking for nice members, we fun, we use mumble, we got bacon and pancakes, come meet us!
