We are Blood Raven Nightingales.

Based on the beautiful panoramic shores of Ehmry Bay, you can find us smashing the Maw or bringing down the Claw of Jormagg, delving into depths of Tyria’s dangerous dungeons, battling through the nightmare land of Orr or even frolicking on the beach as baby quaggans!

Whatever we do, we do as a team with the main goal being to have fun!

We are a small guild of active members who enjoy PvE, dungeons, events etc. We are mostly adult players and we all share a mature and respectful outlook. Our goal is to create a friendly and helpful guild with down to earth members who share a common goal to just relax and enjoy what the game has to offer.

We welcome any level, profession and race. Whether you are new to the game or have been playing since the beginning, we are accepting of all. We just ask that you remain respectful of your guild mates and be patient and understanding to anyone who is new to the game, no mocking or bullying will be accepted by us.

We are based in Ehmry Bay but we currently have members on different servers and this is just fine with us. We are mainly made up of people from an oceanic timezone but are not limited to it. Some understanding that there will be some quiet times while playing may be required until we have a good, balanced mix of active players but we do hope we find some patient people who are willing to work through that with us. The leaders play almost every week night (Australian time) and weekends depending upon social commitments of course.

We have vent for dungeons and a website for guild communication of which the details will be made available upon joining.

The leaders are adults with full time jobs and we fully understand about life committments. We will be happy that when you are online, say hello and if you want to join in any activities we may be organisng at the time then of course you are most welcome to join in but it won’t be a requirement. We are also understanding that people may be in other guilds that are joining us. We are only a small guild, all member influence does make a difference to us but we also understand that you may not want to represent us 100% of the time. All we ask is that you communicate this to us when you join so we understand the circumstances.

We want to create a comfortable, friendly atmosphere for all our guild members, free from retribution from any question you might ask or for any assistance you might need. We are not here to judge you we are here to make friends and help fellow players.

Before the post is done, I just want to quote to you something that was posted on our guild forum very recently and it really does ring true to who we are……

“See, this epitomises what I’m after in a guild in one sense.
I’m after a group of people who can hang out together, help one another with the odd bit of supply, or crafted item, or maybe help getting past a tough encounter for either personal story or map completion, and just enjoy themselves.
So, if we’re having a bad day or we’re not up for working together on any given day – we don’t have to . . . it’s not like you need to show up at certain times and make a certain effort to get guild influence . . . it’s not like we will schedule a dungeon run and expect people to show up, and potentially exclude people for not taking part.
I’m happy for people to represent when they want to, ask for help when/if they need it and hopefully we can all help one another as GW2 changes and develops, through the inevitable expansions.

Just to add to Wynter Raven’s post, I joined the Blood Raven Nightingales [BRNG] about 3-4 weeks ago and it’s been fun ever since as there is always someone online (probably due to the Oceanic timezone) to say hi and check on you.

Got to hit level 80 on my 1st character (yes, am a newbie) and do my 1st successful dungeon run in one go with this awesome bunch! I found a new home and I love it

Don’t be shy and join in the fun! You won’t regret it, cos I sure don’t !

Oh and i forgot to mention, I belong to one of those not based on the home server (i.e. Ehmry Bay) and it hasn’t bothered anyone so far – guesting is a great solution for group events / dungeon runs !

A truly welcoming group of close knit friends is waiting for like minded folks to join us for some relaxing in-game enjoyment.

We’d love to meet you, and share the beauty that Guild Wars 2 holds for all of us.

The guild may be currently small but we are very tight community (imho).

And if i may add, growing in such a friendly environment can only make the game even more fun (don’t get me wrong, the game is awesome! I think it’s just a more enjoyable experience if you explore the maps, run dungeons, do quests/hearts, look for refugees lost possessions, etc in a group of friends/guildies).

Yes I agree Deathtrap and we want to continue that close knit community feeling even when we grow.

We welcome new members with open arms, you will not find one person in our guild who will ignore you or make you feel unwelcome.

I’ve been in ‘clans’ in other games where they say they are more like a family but when I join, I realise that yes, the current members are like family, but new comers feel left out and with a social awkwardness of feeling new and not included, I would end up leaving.

I do not want anyone who joins us to feel that way and without having to encourage any of our current members, everyone automatically makes new members feel welcome and at ease.

With those of us who were online, we had an epic adventure today through the Straights of Devastation into Orr. We stopped along the way for a bit of Quaggan fun near Fort Trinity.

Would love it for more to join us on our adventures.

Yesterday, we dared the Honor of the Waves in Frostgorge Sound, to try and help the kodan in their fight with Jormag.

It was a spontaneous thing, with one member asking if anyone fancied going into HotW story mode and we got together a group and jumped in. Only one of us had done it before, and they had only a spotty recollection of how it was done, so we enjoyed discovering the story as a group.

Sure, we wiped. A couple of times, but no one complained and we were patient enough to get back on track, try new strategies and get through things.

And a good time was had by all.

Now, we’re getting ready to start doing some Guild Bounty Training missions, because we’re still small enough to want the influence and we’re hoping to steadily unlock more guild content for our group, and as we expand and bring more people on board, things should become easier, while not losing the fun factor, which is high on our member’s lists of reasons for being part of a guild.

So say hello in game. Come along on one of our dungeons runs. Let’s take on a world event together and show some teamwork. We’re always looking for new people who want to enjoy GW2 as best they can.

Those bauble bubbles are driving us crazy! We want them! We plan to attack the SAB on the weekend and would love to add a few more people to our family so you can share in our SAB adventures and beyond.

We are growing, slowly but surely.

Although we are in no hurry to expand our guild, we do wish to grow just a little more hence we are currently recruiting.

Huge shout out to my fellow guild leader WynterRaven.7208 who has almost single-handedly revamped the guild page, reviewed the ranks in our guild for long term status and has really worked at building a community. Her efforts to make people feel welcome and establish relationships have been above and beyond the norm.

Super Adventure Box seems to be dominating attention at the moment, but we’re always up for sorting a dungeon, or progressing a member’s personal story. WynterRaven is working on getting those SAB achievements and has been willing to lead groups into 8-bit hell (well, I know I hate those jumping puzzles, so for me, it’s 8-bit hell).

Always looking to recruit some new blood. We get people joining and, as with all guilds and games, some people lose interest in the game, or have busy lives that interfere with their gaming, but our guild is gradually building and we’re getting a regular group of helpful, intelligent and capable folks online.

We’re getting into the swing of this guild thing now and, as always, we are recruiting.

I think it’s fair to say if you want a fun, broad-based GW2 experience, with chat and hijinks, we’re probably a decent fit for you. If you’re after hardcore speed-runs and results based dungeoneering/event farming, then maybe we would be too casual for you. I think it’s fair to say that, for us, it’s about the overall experience, not just about the end results. Gradually, we’re building a community of diverse but happy individuals who are regularly online and welcoming to newcomers.

A quick review of our website gallery would be a fairly clear indicator of our priorities. Chickens, Quaggans and similar things that may amaze . . .

For those Australians (or anyone really) who are up for it, we’re going to be doing two guild Anzac Day commemorations by farming the Penitent/Shelter events on the Cursed Shore, while sporting khaki dyed armour – once in the morning and once in the afternoon, Australian time, on the 25th of April. (See our website for times).

For those people who characters aren’t yet in the Cursed Shore, we will try and make sure there are other things we can do as a group.

If you’re interested in finding out more about our guild, we’ll definitely be online at those times and you can quiz us in game as to whether you think you want to join in. Hope to hear from some of you then.

We’re actively recruiting US-ians to join us, to try and make sure that we have members on almost every day and morning, noon and night. We’ve appointed an officer to help Americans get to know the guild, so look for us online, check out our website and ask about our activities and the community we’re trying to build.

We are more and more active now, would like to have enough active, friendly people online so that more than one dungeon can be run at the same time!

We have experienced the Living Story dungeon and are now leading other guild members through it so it would be great to show it to some new friends while we are at it Dungeons are so much more fun when you know everyone you are with rather than random strangers

We’ve had a few inactive members leave, and a handful of new active members join, and we’re really building a community of people who are very positive, supportive and social, always willing to chat about things and give advice on getting to those goals, even waypointing over to you and giving you helping hand when needed. It’s a slow process building a community, but we’re really getting an active supportive guild together now, so I encourage people to message either of the leaders in game, or on the forums to ask us about joining.

Oh the guild is nicely humming along. We have some great new members from both sides of the globe! We do not want to expand too much more, so if you are looking for a genuine group of down to earth people who are very active in guild chat and always grouping up for all kinds of adventures you should consider us.

Currently our guild roster sits at 31, a handful at most probably shouldn’t be on the list and will unfortunately go soon but once we hit 50 I think we will be closing our doors. We are not interested in a huge guild, we just want a great bunch of people, spread out into different time zones so that all of us will have people to run dungeons and events with when we are online.

hi guys, by reading these comments i feel that your members truly are closely bonded wih one another. im just curious where did you get the name? is there any history behind it?

Actually there is a bit of a history behind it in as much as my husband and I started playing GW2 and I found out that a real life friend of mine had also started playing. So I thought since we all played, I could create a little guild just for us. I mixed our names into the title, Blood was from my friend’s name – Mistress Blood; Raven came from the fact that both my husband and I chose to have Raven in our player names (coincidental); and Nightingales was because just before playing GW2 I was playing Skyrim and I really had enjoyed the Nightingale quests in that game!

Unfortunately my friend stopped playing and we decided to expand the guild and make some new friends. My friend still has a place in the guild but it is just a shadow of her now, I don’t think she is coming back.

On our guild website, just for fun I created a thread with the intention of having a continuous and living story that our members could contribute to about their adventures in Tyria. So far it hasn’t really taken off (sad for me!), but the short story I wrote is still there. If you are at all interested, I have linked that thread here and have given it public viewing access. It was fun to write and just a bit of fun about how I envisioned the guild began. The Link to the short story is below:
