I am a former leader of a GW1 guild that ran for 4 years and lead a 5 guild alliance. I’m older now and have a family and therefore decided not to resurrect my old guild when I started GW2.

About me:
-Played GW1 since the beginning
-Have been playing and having a blast with GW2 since BW2
-Gamer all my life
-4 lvl 80 toons and working on 5th
-Primarily PvE player who also enjoys WvW
-On Tarnished Coast

What I’m looking for in a guild:
-Teamspeak/Vent
-Mature, but fun loving
-Fairly large member base
-100% representation
-Active website
-Organized guild events

One final note is that I’m looking for a home. Although I do not have the full time to lead a guild any longer, I have ample time to advise, organize, assist, and mentor others. Although I would not expect to become an officer upon entrance (that would frankly be unwise of any guild leader), I would like a clear path presented on what is expected of me to get there. Frankly I’ve found that I want to help others (which is my real world job btw) and to share my experience in a formal capacity.

My guild – Froody (FRDY) although currently small are looking to expand, yes it will take time but hopecully we will get there.
Someone like yourself with experience would be a great addition as we aim to increase our guild size

VexX might be a good place for you but we are on JQ idk if you wanna transfer but a little about us. We are a 250 person guild currently with around 50 of them online every day and normally we have 10-20 people on TS every night to do nightly dungeons/fractals/w.e people wanna do.

The Guild does very well influence wise so you really don’t need to worry about waiting for upgrades or anything we currently have Lv 6 poli finished, lv 6 Econ and art of war building with lv 6 arti waiting to be build with art of war finishes.

We have finished a T3 bounty today actually we will be doing another one Sat or Sun w/e the reset is were not 100% sure so your more than willing to come join us for that if u wanna get a feel for us than decide

The Gryphons Aerie is a smaller, casual yet social, 18+ PvE/RP guild on Tarnished Coast (some members also enjoy some WvsW now and then too). We know that RL comes first and stress that fact. We’ll still be there even if you can’t for a bit of time. We enjoy helping each other and doing things together when possible. All you have to do is ask if you need help with something and we’ll do our best to come to your aid.

There is also no requirement to be representing us at all times. It’s not our business to tell you who you can and cannot associate with; that choice is yours alone. All we ask is that you give us some time too. We do have a TeamSpeak 3 as well, but it’s use is on a purely optional basis.

I would urge you to talk in-game with any members from ESP, TSL, CYN, DIS, TV, iNF and CERN. All guilds I can personally vouch for.

Sounds like you’d be a pretty good fit for Wardens of Destiny. We’re already on Tarnished Coast and we’re mostly PVe. Medium sized guild, with a lot of really nice people.

Mumble is definitely a plus though, since we have a lot of social interaction happening there.

We are now at 112 members and officers in the guild and growing more and more each day. We are upgrading to Level 5 upgrades.

The name of our guild is Just Us Grown Ups or [JUGs] and we could be just the guild you’re looking for.

We are a very friendly, very casual adult guild who value community above anything else. Everyone in the guild has a great relationship with each other and people are always helping each other out—provided they have the free time..

We are a small—but growing (close to 60 members)—guild catering to the 30+ crowd. We are very laid back and just want to game, hang out and avoid drama.

Our guild does have an age requirement in place to keep the environment mature; almost all of our members are men and women between the ages of 30-55. We do allow people 25-30 to apply but their admission must be voted on.

We are primarily a PvE guild but some of us also jump into the WvW realms every now and then.

Our guild is happy to take in members, regardless of experience level. If you want to learn, we’ll answer your questions; if you have knowledge to pass on, we’ll listen.

We’re small at the moment, but have been averaging about two new players a day. To be honest, I’d prefer a small guild full of tight-knit members as opposed to a large guild that’s basically comprised of small cliques.

The guild is run with a ‘hands-off’ approach and most matters in the guild are handled by vote. We don’t make demands or requirements other that you have a good time when you’re with us.

All of us have real lives that come first and no one’s going to pressure you in any way to spend more time with the guild than you can.

I created the guild so there would be a good gaming environment free of the tension and drama of the hardcore guilds which are usually comprised of younger players.

We’re on the Jade Quarry server so a transfer, unfortunately, would be necessary if you’d like to join us. You can, however, feel free to try us out as a guest. You could join our guild, share in our guild chat channel, run dungeons with us, talk to us on our Ventrilo server, and see what we’re like—the only thing you wouldn’t be able to do is participate in WvW combat with us. It’s like ‘leasing with the option to buy.’

We have both Ventrilo and Mumble voice servers. We also have a feature-rich website where you can create and co-ordinate events that other members can sign up for.

That is a really impressive opening post, Invictus. Any guild would be enthralled to have a member with both those credentials and those desires in their guild, mine included. I want to preface this by saying that whatever happens, and whichever guild you end up with, I hope you find what you are looking for.

That said, I wouldn’t be posting here if I didn’t think there’d be a lot to gain mutually from you checking out [VZ]. We are a 55-60 member guild on the Stormbluff Isle server (you wouldn’t be required to change servers, and can do all content with us unless you wanted to WvW with us), and while we’re not massive, we’re very mature and very dedicated players always looking for more. We do all end-game content all the time (I personally run fractals and any dungeon others are interested in every night), and we’ll be working on organizing more thorough content such as guild missions starting this week and each week thereafter. I was in the same boat as you, leading a guild on GW1 for seven years, and I am carrying this over to GW2, but yeah, as you know, it’s tough. Having more proactive and helpful players around, especially those willing to take initiative, would be stellar and help us grow even further. I think you’d be a great fit for that, and you’d enjoy our community. We have a TS, but I don’t require people use it. Currently only myself and a few others do, but I’m trying to encourage more and more participation as time goes on, and who knows? Maybe it’ll really kick off; I hope so.

Either way, we do all end-game content and WvW frequently. We’re also doing guild missions now, and so that’ll be a good point to group up on. You might say we’re fairly casual and not super hardcore, but that we do hardcore content like many of the bigger guilds, just as a more medium-sized group. If that sounds at all interesting, let me know by PMing me here, mailing me in-game, whispering me in-game, posting in the thread linked in my signature, or however you’re more comfortable. I’d be happy to talk with you about it more.
