Guild Wars 2

I started playing a few weeks ago – or maybe we’re coming up on a month actually – and after taking some time to get the basics down I’m now looking for a guild to join.

I’ve tried quite a few professions so far, and I’m still not 100% on what my main will be but I feel rather drawn to my Thief right now. Past few days I’ve been focusing on sPvP and I’m really enjoying it, but I would really like to have a few guildies around to play with – hot joins can be a chore as I’m sure you all know.

My Thief runs a bit of a Glass Cannon/Quick Getaway build and I try to focus on capping points and taking out those who wander too far from their buddies – get the job done quick and be on my way. If things go south I usually stealth and wait for a better time to strike. I’m not very experienced, so I have loads to learn still in both PvE and PvP.

I’m 32 years old, living in Denmark and blessed with both a girlfriend and a son who is two and a half years old, so yes I’m a casual with a capital C. I’ve played EVE Online, SWG, abit of DAoC, bit of Guild Wars, Age of Conan and lots of WoW so MMO wise I’m pretty experienced.

I’m a pretty mellow ,friendly guy and pretty easy to get along with, who would just like someone to share the adventure with.

My characters are currently on the Underworld server, but I’m willing to transfer to any server really.

Zealot Gaming [zG] wants YOU

We are a new-ish PvX oriented Guild and are part of an established and structured Gaming Community, and we are looking for active, friendly players. We’ve just started our upgrades and currently working toward the basics so we can put up some banners for our members. Every Sunday we have our ‘official’ WvW event and we group up for dungeon runs almost daily. We have TS3!! I’d also like to add that we follow the quality > quantity rule for our members and we play on Ehmry Bay and Aurora Glade. Right now we’re a bit small (~8 core players that play every day), but we gotta start somewhere right? : D

We do have requirements on our forums for activity, but they are very, very minimal, and pretty lenient (we understand people have lives offline too ^.^)

I have to ask one question – as mentioned in my OP I live in Denmark, but I’ve come across several US based guilds already. Is it worth considering to join one, or will the timezones end up being a huge disadvantage? I ask because I’ve only been in EU based guild in my entire MMO life, so I’d like to hear some of your experiences.

Actually i would like to see international servers rather than split them up between Europe and the US.

Thats why im glad my guild has members from both Europe and US, very handy when you have people that like to play on odd hours

However i think you do have to keep im mind that people in the US have a time difference of -6 to -9 hours from us Europeans…

We are a small guild of members or friends as I like to call them. We use teamspeak and it’s become our guild chat more than anything. We have a lot of american friend’s and most of them are taking over our guild (I love them really)! We know each others names, birthdays, where we live, jobs, and we talk to each other more than some of us talk to our parents (we also have a grandmother and a few couples). And most of the time we are like a family, I play the mother and the rest of them play the unruly kids.
We have friends who play other games but we all still talk to each other. We’re casual but like to run instances on a regular basis, but understand that RL can get in the way of this at times.
