Hello, my name is Martin! I think this idea sounds very interesting, atleast to me. I’m a somewhat returning/new player to GW2, so there’s still lots of stuff I don’t know. But I’d gladly join the guild. I just have one question, do you plan on doing any PvP activities?
Dear Bishop,
We are certainly going to be doing all PvP activities! We will have at least 20 starting members per Guild, with 5 of them being from the company. We will have one Guild for each server, and each Guild will hold the maximum amount of members (500). We plan on making these Guilds very large.
Dear Hedgehorc,
I’m glad that you are intrigued! We will definitely be doing PvP. This will be a massive multi-purpose Guild. Some of the members will be doing PvP, some WvW, some Dungeon Runs, etc. We plan on having tons of players in each Guild and will likely fill up our 500 slots in each one!
Also, I’d like to share an idea:
Creating a Legendary weapon by yourself is absurd! It’s ridiculous the amount of ingredients needed and money required. So that’s where a Guild with tons of players can become great. If just 20 people in the Guild work collaboratively (collecting ingredients, contributing wealth, etc.), then a Legendary weapon can be created very quickly and easily. Then the legendary would be sold, and a cut of the profits would go to each member that participated.
I always thought that would be cool. What do you think?
Thanks,
Matthew Spurr
Awesome to hear about the plans for the guild, I think it’s going to be great! About the idea of the legendaries. I think it’s a great idea to bring together a group of people to gather all the ingredients for it and then eventually sell it and profit from it. The people that does it alone, either wants it her/himself or just don’t want to split the profit, I myself would like the legendaries and have thought about gathering all the ingredients, but the amount of time and effort you have to put into it is just too much. So I like the idea about getting a group together and do it.
Excellent!
Does anyone have ideas to add? I’d be glad to add in features that people request for the Guild/Teamspeak/Forum/etc.
Will be good to get it started and see how it goes. I like the idea of working as a team n making some gold in game. If you need any help setting up let me know.
Not sure of any features that we will require, i guess the teamspeak to start with and see what is needed to help run the guild from there.

I have a few questions:
Who will be running your guilds?
Will each server have different officers/leadership/forums/VoIP?
Will you be serving the European or the American servers?
How many employees does Game Sector have?
Are you planning to build your own LFG tool? If so, will those be server specific too?
Will you be using the same rule set for each of the guilds, and have those been created yet? I know that I would never consider joining a guild where I didn’t know the rules for representation, activity, language, age requirements, etc. Have those been created yet?
This seems very ambitious. Good luck

Dear Aye,
I will be running the first guild we make. The rest of the guilds will be run by select members of our staff, and select members of staff of other sites that I work for, such as ConsoleMonster and CheatMasters.
GamerSector has roughly 20 staff members. When combined with CheatMasters, ConsoleMonster, and DarkZero, we will have over 80 members that can run these guilds. I may select non-staff players to run the Guilds, but that depends on the dedication of the member and whether the other members decide this is a good idea.
Each server will have different officers and leadership. They will have their own sections in the GamerSector forum. Each server will also have it’s own sections in the TeamSpeak server we set up. We hope to get a commercial teamspeak that will hold thousands of slots. If this is impossible, we will have several teamspeak servers on the same site. For instance, teamspeak1.gamersector.com, teamspeak2.gamersector.com, etc.
We will serve both American and European servers, but we will start with the American. When we add the staff from DarkZero and ConsoleMonster (which are UK-based sites) we will serve the EU servers.
I never thought of making a dedicated LFG tool for the server. However, now that you mention it, I will make one! I have my Masters Degree in computer science. Granted my specialty is security, but I know how to program in most languages like the back of my hand! I will guarantee you that there WILL be a dedicated LFG tool for the guilds!
Each Guild will have the same ruleset. I cannot say what the rules are yet, as they are not final, but they are on the way!
Any more suggestions? Ideas? Questions?
Hello again!
A question from me.
Have you made any of the guilds yet?
