Guild Wars 2

Afrolion here! Some of you may recognize the name from my recruitment post, anyways to the topic! Getting started isn’t the easiest thing is there? I know people like to have vent for a guild and what not(I was in a pretty good guild in World of Warcraft before hopping on here) but it looks like there’s so much that goes into it. Having a guild website for organization, vent channel, pretty much resume like descriptions of your guilds….all very impressive! Now if you haven’t seen my other post, i’m Co-leader of the Kitty Rage Clan on Isle of Janthir with my partner Ronaa. We have a roster of 3…and our other irl friend doesn’t hop on that often. To my experienced guild leaders out there, just how did you get started? How long did it take you go build up a nice team? Any tips you can give me/us?

It is a lot of hard work. I had some alright guilds in previous MMO’s and just decided to start one for GW2.

You want a goal, an outcome of where you want it to be.
The best is to start with people you know.
Try NOT to advertise in map chat. It just puts people off.
Just get out there meet people if you click and they’re looking for peopl to game with you can SUGGEST your guild. Do not force it upon them.

Try not to aspire having a guild with hundreds of players, why?
It can get out of hand. You want people.you can trust a tight knit group of few is always better. It’s given me a lot of headaches.

At the moment I’m in the same boat. I’m not even trying to make a guild. Just something to others find other players.
