Guild Wars 2

Was having an issue with my guild ranks in the game. Figure I would post it here before I went to the support forum.
I was working with the ranks in my guild, and when I was promoting one of my members, my mouse jumped and I accidentally promoted him to the highest rank. I thought this mistake would be easy to fix, by just demoting him again, but found I was not giving this option, even though I created the guild. Later I found that if I wanted to, I had the option to promote all the members in my guild to the highest rank. I don’t know why this is possible, makes me nervous that I have to be extremely careful about promoting in the future.

My question is, how do I demote the member, is there some special command, or do I have to wait for that member to log on and ask him to lower his own rank?

You have to wait for him to log on and ask him, since he’s now a leader and theres nothing higher then that even if you created the guild.

This is nice to know, I better not sneeze when promoting. I hope the person is honest?

Yeah, you have to wait for him to log in and ask him to demote himself.

Maybe they should give you an “Are you Sure Yes/No” Box when promoting someone above you?

Agree with Saxon, it really should have a confirmation box, for all promoting/demoting actions

Personally I think an action box would be irritating. Though I agree it’s silly that you can promote people to Leader and not have the power to demote them. I think as guild Founder you should have overruling power of everything and there shouldn’t be a possibility for you to rank someone to the same rank. I created a separate rank and gave it all the rank options available, so they have the same power as me but I can still kick/demote them if I wish!
