We are a small guild on the Ferguson’s Crossing server. Our members are respectful, friendly, and helpful. Our focus is to build a supportive, fun community and we welcome players of all levels and abilities who want to build their GW2 home with us.

You may find our guild grows more slowly than most. For us, building a strong community atmosphere within our guild is more important than rushing in and being the first to conquer everything as quickly as possible. Since we try to make sure all of our members are of a similar mindset, our membership process is sometimes slower than most. But in the long run, this ensures a stronger foundation and loyal and longtime following.

FAQ:

Why the name Hedonism? This is just a game to us, not a way of life. Real life has enough stress and mess and the name is a reminder that the purpose of playing a game is to have fun.

WvW Commander? Yes, Two. One EU/NA hours, one Oceanic hours.

Time Zone? We have players on at ALL hours. Even though the server is NA, ALL time zones are currently represented; we have members from all over the world and have been steadily building up EU and Oceanic hours with a healthy number of members on during their respective evening hours.

Our heaviest population is currently from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m M-F (PST). Weekends; nearly any time.

UPDATE: Due to a recent influx of members, I have decided to suspend invites for typical NA evening hours so we all have a chance to get to know each other. If you feel really strongly about joining Hedonism and you play during NA evenings you can fill out an application and I will fold you in as soon as possible. This suspension does not apply to Hawaii or Alaska.
EU evenings are still OPEN though not for much longer.
Oceanic, Asian, etc still OPEN
*If your play time starts around midnight PST or later (this is 7am UTC/GMT), we currently have room for you. This means New Zealand, Australia, Oceanic, Asian, India, Japan, Hawaii, EU early birds, NA night owls, we want you! :-D

What we are asking of you:

*Be courteous and respectful to each other and willing to help when someone asks.

*If you sign up for an event with a specific start time, please be focused enough to be prepared and on time, but don’t take yourself so seriously that you can’t laugh when a group wipes.

*Know that everyone has room to learn more (even you and me) and deserves to grow in a supportive environment.

Should go without saying because we are all adults, but here it is anyway:

Respectful language in guild chat and voice chat is a must and extends to grouping with others and map chat while you represent this guild. Your actions reflect on all of us. No hate speech of any kind will be tolerated.

What to expect from the Guild and the Leadership:

*The focus of the guild is PvE and WvW, but we will support those interested in PvP by sponsoring events both for play and for getting achievements.

*No one wants to make a mistake, but then again, no one is perfect either; therefore it’s important to recognize that and not treat every mistake or innocent comment like the end of the world.

*The rules apply equally to all members. If you feel that there is an issue that requires attention that isn’t being handled properly we encourage you to contact the guild leader personally in whispers or via the Guild website so we can resolve the situation promptly.

*Our long term goal is to build a casual but focused community like we outlined above (respectful, helpful, etc.) whether that community is five people or 500 people isn’t as important as the atmosphere of the guild.

*We want you to play the game the way you want to. Whether you want to get the most awesome gear you can or if you want to spend every day doing jumping puzzles, no one will ever make you feel bad about it.

*Above all, we just want people to have fun.

I am currently with a small guild in Yaks Bend NA. Been playing the game a lot since official release. PVE a lot, haven’t gotten the PVP bug yet even WvWvW. I love doing dungeons, do them daily, minus Arah explorables. Have all character professions level 80 and maxed out. I don’t have a main character because I enjoy playing all of them, depending also on the situation. I will try and join if INVITED.

Great time today, did a dungeon with new guildies and still had time to run around Orr and do the Melandru event.

Hedonism is a great guild where people can get to know each other. We have a lot of great people doing dungeons, hanging out and having fun. Come level and explore with us!

We are still recruiting and looking for more awesome people to fill out our guild. We are building a really great place fr people to call home in GW2. The friendly, joking atmosphere and the “never say die” team effort is amazing! Check us out if you want a great community first and to take down the boss second.

Spent an amazing day in WvW today with various guildies.

Groups aren’t just scheduled, most of the time we put them together on the fly.

Come join us and be a part of a guild that isn’t too busy to lend a hand or, too high to be seen in a lower zone. We’re just good people building friendships with others who are looking for the same low key, no pressure approach to gaming.

Recruiting continues, I would especially love to get more folks playing after 11 pm PST (we are GMT -7) as well as folks playing earlier in the day, in our mornings and early afternoons (relative to us naturally).

Evenings are pretty healthy, though I wouldn’t turn away the right applicant(s).

We have started a Screenshot Competition for our guild members, medals and other nonsense will be awarded.

Back to back dungeons yesterday, fractals the day before along with dailies and farming /mapping party in orr, plus we ran around on our low alts helping out. Having a great time.

We are still open for business and actively recruiting. But instead of selling my wares on my little corner of the internet today, I’m going to go play!

Loving our new Brits, they’re a cheeky lot. We still need more Oceanic and Aussie/NZ players.

Welcomed a lovely new couple today, handed out prizes for our screen shot contest, kicked some butt in WvWvW. All told, another great day.

Doing dailies as a group, helping people with their personal stories, various discussions about the game, everything from ascended items to dyes and mapping in WvW (Number one again this week!). We have a lively group of players and we are always willing to add more who want to take part in a guild they can be proud of.

Guild training bounty mission today, took some members to their first dungeon. All in all, a very good day to be a hedonist :-)

If you truly feel we are the right guild for you we would be happy to have you and won’t turn you away, however, our NA recruitment goals have been met for the time being. We’ve found so many amazing people it was hard to say no, so we need a minute to catch our breath and get to know each other.

Recruitment remains open for Hawaiian/Pacific players, Australian/NZ etc, and people who tend to play around 6am UTC/GMT and onward, then you are just what we need to fill out our lighter times.

Where are you midnight to 7 am PST players? We needed a 5th last night for the three dungeons we ran.

Guild Training Mission successfully done and research for Guild Bounty Missions is in Queue.

We’ve grown to 71 members and have members on around the clock who are from all around the world. Business professionals, senior citizens, college students, artists and computer geeks all make up our eclectic, warm, happy family.
