Another guild huh?

Haptic was recently formed by two close friends. We’ve been playing Guild Wars 2 since beta. Prior to that we ran a WoW raiding guild together that formed in 2008. We’ve been pubbing around since we started playing, but have been unable to find the type of community we’re looking for, so have decided to try to build it from the ground up.

What kind of people are you looking for?

Ideally we’re just looking for like-minded people who enjoy the game. We’re very easy going, so you don’t need to mirror our likes and tastes. We don’t treat gaming like a job, and play to unwind after a busy day. The best fit would be working adults who enjoy forum posting while out of game — talking GW2 shop as well as about other games, movies, etc. We have only two rules: 1. No racism. 2. No homophobic talk. In short, be excellent to each other.

The application is the first impression we have about you and the only way for us to judge whether or not you will fit in our group. It’s as much as a chance for you to evaluate us, and to make sure you’d enjoy hanging out with us. We’re looking for like-minded people over excellent gw2-players, so just be yourself.

Hold on a second, this looks like a really new guild? Why should I even waste my time if you’re gonna be gone in a month?

We agree that’s a valid concern. In the end all that we can ask is for people who are looking to build a community with us. We’re looking to form friendships, not just add numbers to a guild panel. You won’t see us shout recruitment all over Lion’s Arch or just shoot random unguilded people invites. That doesn’t mean we won’t work to keep new blood coming into the guild, but we care more about who is behind the character than just piling people in.
