Guild Wars 2

Apparently like many others here, I’ve been looking for a guild to join over the past week or so. Even with free realm transfers going on, I’m not too interested in switching servers unless your argument is that compelling. I like Isle of Janthir, have some friends here and am 95% sure I will remain here.

Some quick background:
- I’ve played everything from MUDs to WoW to Diablo to FPS gaes
- I’ve led a successful social raiding guild (can raid but without the required drama) in WoW from 2005 to 2010 and am now looking forward to remaining a peon.
- Being 31, I value more of the social aspect of the game over loot focus, though I do enjoy some PvP, WvW nd dungeon hopping, just not the stress of requiring daily participation

I live on the east coast in the US, so would definitely prefer a guild whose activities range anywhere from 7pm til midnight EST.

A couple of my hopes to find in a guild:
- not gigantic (around 100 or less members)
- active membership (groups, events, PvP… etc)
- has some type of forum (who doesn’t like to BS and kill time while at work?)
- uses some form of voice communication (Vent and TS always a plus)
- can tolerate someone who likes to joke around and interact with people
- would like a member whose active and always willing to help out
- might potentially be able to accept two more members (24 year old nephew and his friend) when they start playing again

Hopefully there’s someone out there that fits the bill. Would love to chat some more if you think your guild and I are a match.

Whispers of Acoma can offer you what you need; Teamspeak, forum, about 50 members, daily events from dungeons to pvp, mature, friendly, helpful. You can join us in dungeons without even being in the same server, you would be limited about teaming up in other areas though which is a pain until guesting comes in but check us out anyway, chat to us on Ts and decide for yourself. Dungeon runs ~ Including Story Modes (remember, you can do a dungeon with anyone on any world)
PvE Exploration (not just 100% of each map, but searching each nook and cranny)

Teamspeak 3 Server for VoIP, for use any time*
Forums for internal Guild chit chat ~ We know that people often play more than 1 game, use these forums to share your experiences with your Guildmates
Helpful Leadership/Officers ~ the crux of any Guild, beyond its members, is a team of Leaders that understand the needs of its members. We promote helpfulness throughout our Guild, but even more so in our Officers.
Shared resources ~ We don’t expect members to give up anything, but often times we have a few resources left over from a crafting session and we know we won’t need that chunk of Silver Ore again, so it goes to Guildmates first.
Shared loot ~ Our Guild bank, small as it is atm, is a place to drop Green items you just don’t want to vendor but think someone might get use of.
And just about anything else a Guildmate might need, that doesn’t take advantage.
What we expect from our members;

Nothing else ~ it’s as simple as A B (don’t even need C) ~ You get out what you put in to a Guild. The more you represent Whispers of Acoma the more you get out of it.
Whispers of Acoma is currently based on Crystal Desert (US) as Homeworld, but we are recruiting across all Worlds. In those worlds where we get more players we will assign World Officers that can purchase upgrades and so forth.

The guild I’m in fits almost all of your criteria except that it may be more semi-hardcore than semi-casual. However, I strongly like that you said you’re social and like to joke around. I’m fairly social too and would love to make some more friends.
