Guild Wars 2

Just Us Grown Ups [JUGs] is a very casual PvX guild, catering to older gamers who just want to play Guild Wars 2 in a fun, drama-free environment.

We’re a friendly, social, PvX guild, that was created so that adult players can get together, relax, BS and have some laughs, and enjoy the game together.

Our guild does have an age requirement in place to keep the environment mature; almost all of our members are men and women between the ages of 30-55. We do allow people 25-30 to apply but they must fill out an application through our website.

We are an adult guild and, as a result, we have adult conversations. We don’t constantly use profanity but we also don’t censor it either. We don’t enforce political-correctness, but will refuse to deal with bigoted, abusive or obnoxious members.

We cater to both men and women, provided that they bring a a good personality, decent sense of humor and not their drama. Oh boy, do we hate drama.

We are a small guild looking to grow but we have a core group right now of really good, solid people who are helpful, inclusive and fun to be around. Since I started recruiting, we’re averaging about two new members a day.

Currently, we are over 75 strong and will continue to accept new members, but will probably cap admissions at 100 or so. We’d like to avoid the unwanted anonymity that one tends to get in larger guilds

To be honest, I’d rather have a small guild with a tight-knit membership than a large guild which ends up being nothing more than a bunch of cliques.

We have both Vent and Mumble servers, a guild bank and a full-featured—and rather spiffy looking—website: jugs-guild.com . You can use it to schedule events (members of all rank can post events) through our calendar, exchange information through our forums, and coordinate with other members via chat.

As I mentioned before, we are a new guild and currently have a pretty small membership (close to 80 members). If you are a hardcore player, we might not be your cup of tea, but if you want to join a small guild and be a part of its development and growth—or if you just get off on that ‘new guild smell,’ then you have a place among the Jug-heads.

ive spoken directly with these guys and im guessing many of you are scared to jump into a “non established” guild with few members. but these guys are going places. probably france. the cheese there is awesome.

Mmmm…that’s a bit young for our target demographic. I’m sure your a great person and would make a good addition to a guild, but I’d be doing my guild-members a disservice who joined under the pretense that it was an over 30 guild.

Our guild is run pretty much as a democracy so it would have to be the consent of the whole guild to change our recruitment standards. Sorry.

Joined a few days ago and really have nothing but great things to say. Really friendly guild, no drama, nice group of people. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a fun group to play with.

I just joined GW2 2 days ago and am currently at level 19! I went through your guild post and I found it to be the best fit for me, is why I would love to throw in a few details about myself and let you judge whether I would be a good fit for you or not!

I have been gaming online for the past 10 years and bring a wealth of experience in many aspects of gaming. I am 26 years old ( 27 in july) and was looking for fun loving people who like me have a busy schedule and want to log onto GW2 for fun and to avoid drama. I am a student pursuing my masters in business administration hence time MIGHT be a bit of constraint but nothing that would keep me away for more than a day or two!

Hi there! Your guild sounds exactly like I am looking for. I just got back into GW2 after having taken a break. I have a level 80 Charr Warrior and a few alts. The only concern I have is that you guys are on an NA server and I live in Sweden. Do you have any Europeans in your guild and do you know if they have any issues with lag?

Nobody in my guild is from Europe, but one of my guild-mates had a member who was in Holland and they never complained of lag.

Unfortunately, there’s no way of guesting from EU to NA. I’d do some research before thinking about a transfer.

We’re not going anywhere and I look forward to hearing from you.

A month in and we just got our 40th member. I guess there’s more older gamers out there than I thought!

I just joined JUGs and am very impressed so far. It is nice to be with a group of ‘older’ gamers for a change!!!

I just joined this guild not to long ago,and i have found a kitten nice bunch of people.Always willing to help out.I suggest if you are looking to hang with a mature group of people and have alot of fun,this is the guild for you

I was reading about your guild and requirements, and it seems like a great fit. However, I am 60 years of age, would that be a problem? I just want friendly and mature people to play the game with. I broke my own rule of no guild and just left one because of the rudeness and immaturity level. It’s very boring to play alone. I don’t have vent at the moment but I will see what I can do. Please let me know if you
think this would be a good fit.
