Who is Marked Souls?

Marked Souls was created in 2007 as a small, friendly Guild Wars guild. We’re currently focusing on Guild Wars 2. We’re a PvX guild with members based in North America (US and Canada) but we are open to members in all time zones. We’ve always favored quality over quantity and because of that we have never been a large guild. What we do have is a group of players who get along and play well with each other.

Who are we looking for?

We’re primarily looking for players who like running coordinated groups whether they’re in a dungeon, fractal, or WvW. We look for mature players with good attitudes and the ability to “play well with others”. By no means does mature refer to either age or game experience. Members range in age from late teens to the fifties and our experiences range from newcomers to veterans. Mature equals behavior and actions in Marked Souls.

What does Marked Souls do?

We’re a PvX guild and our members have a diverse set of interests. Before the release of Guild Wars 2, our members were found in games such as: Guild Wars, SW:ToR, LoL, Diablo, and Minecraft.

What can Marked Souls offer you?

• Great friendly people and a group of players that understand the value of support and encouragement.
• Experience and help! Members range from veteran players to enthusiastic newcomers and all in between. Most of which are ready to help with almost any aspect of the game.
• PvE, WvW, or sPvP – it’s your choice! We will have guild events for all with PvE and WvW being the most frequent.

What does Marked Souls offer GW2 players?

• PvE events such as dungeons, fractals, jumping puzzles, home grown events (Nekkid Runs, Scavenger Hunts, etc.)
• WvW Events
• Helpful craft masters for all of your crafting needs

I joined MkS during this past summer, and I have already experienced firsthand that this guild is somewhere you can put down roots for the long-term. And, as Kousei mentioned, our members absolutely run the gamut in RL backgrounds.

Rather than resting on its laurels during the interminable “when it’s ready” anticipation months, MkS spent its time with its members who hadn’t completed their HoMs in the original game. We helped several GW veterans reach their HoM goals, and even finished several players’ HoM goals who had very little experience in GW. This helpfulness was my first glimpse of what it means to be a part of MkS, and the same mindset has now shifted full-force to GW2.

Any given evening, we have people in many parts of the game, from those of us who are altoholics and crafting addicts to sPvP’ers to impromptu dungeon runs, strategizing in WvW, even guiding each other to the most obscure places on the map for fun things to do.

We also enjoy our infamous Nekkid Runs through the countryside (if you see a sudden mob of Asura boxers or Sylvari planties, that’s probably us) which have happened on several risque occasions, with enthusiastic community participation.

There is a ton of fun to be had in GW2, and we intend to take full advantage of all of it. Feel free to jump in there with us!

I’ve joined in early 2008, and I do not regret it. This guild has been fun with questing, and the events are just astounding, I truely love MkS, and what it stands for, and the people in it. The members, oh boy the members are unforgettable how much of a blast they are to be around with, such as Kousei,Zap,Lyne,and Lori (And the rest of course!).

And ontop of that, MkS is laid back, but also competitive when we want to do some fun. Its been like that since GW1 infact.
And to be frankly honest, I’ll stay in MkS until the last days (Of my life.). That is how much I enjoy the people and the mindset this place is built around.

I joined in the later half of 2009 and have been there since, I couldnt ask for a better group of friend’s we’re all more like family then anything else. I started out as just a normal player for the guild and before GW2 came out I was promoted to to PR officer where i help out our new members and recruit more.

MkS has helped me in a lot of ways in my life. And like i said i couldnt ask for a better family and we want to welcome more into our family.

I would be interested in joining. Been looking for a good group of people to play games with. Half the fun of MMOs is the exciting times WITH people, least for me.

I went to you website, looked around and created an account. When I went to put up my application post, it said my session had timed out. Figured I would try a bit later when I had more time. Now it wont even let me in, and when I try to reset password it says no account exsists.

@sini, we were Marked Souls there as well. I can remember us and Deviance constantly switching places in the rankings. We were apart of the alliance with Chaos Haven as well.

I joined Marked Souls only very recently, pretty much right as headstart access had begun. I found this guild after searching various forums for other guilds, and finally settled on Marked Souls. I am very very glad I did! MkS has a knowledgeable, friendly base of veteran Guild Wars 1 players who are understanding and just out to have fun in game while still being a competitive guild.

I can honestly say that the people here are quirky, weird, and downright nerdy sometimes, but also the most fun and enjoyable people I have had the chance to meet online.

I’ll be sticking around for a long time to come!

Recruiting PvE and WvW players!

I joined Marked Souls at the Beta of GW2 . Being a long-time GW1 player, i was looking for a guild that had enjoyed GW1 and was dedicated to continuing the play experience onto GW2 . I brought players from various GW1 guilds because i recognized the positive, fun , and crazy people that makes up MKS . I’m mainly a PvE player/lore freak, with a pinch of WvW play too. Please consider Marked Souls for your guild. We have players of all ages (mostly adult – age-wise)
