Guild Wars 2

Hi there. I’ll just jump right into it.

I played Guild Wars 1 from week one of Prophecies but had to wait until just recently to have a new computer that can actually run this game. I bought Guild Wars 2 less than three days ago. I’m a level 22 Guardian at the time of this posting.

I have extensive gaming experience between my many years of Guild Wars and my time as a hardcore raider and PvPer in WoW (I still raid, but very casually…most of my time is spent on GW2 and on schoolwork).

Basically, I’m looking for a guild that has groups running for WvW fairly consistently. However, I’m also very interested in explorable dungeons once I’m level-appropriate.

I don’t care if your world isn’t ahead by 200k points at any given time. As long as there is activity and full, decent groups running on any given day, I’m interested. I want to storm keeps. I want to siege that massive castle. I want to enjoy myself doing it. I want a group of people who, much like myself, intend to win while having fun doing it.

I’d also rather not try to move to a server that I’ll have to queue for an hour to get into every day…

For reference, I am an American and I live in the Central timezone (GMT-6). My usual play times are late afternoon to late night (sometimes early morning) my time.

WvW focused? Oh yeah, you’ll definately fit right in at Caedas [CDS]. As far as dungeons go we have scheduled dungeon nights twice a week, puzzle farming in WvW, or farming for WvW funds in Orr. Most of the events we do are WvW however. And while we at EST based we have recruited internationally as well in order to maintain a presence in WvW during oceanic time zones. As such we have some UK, Asian, German and Australian members as well!

Now while we are hardcore and take our WvW seriously, we enjoy ourselves and have a blast doing it. After all, it is a game meant to be enjoyed!

Edge of Chaos [EoC] is currently recruiting members on the Dragonbrand server. Currently, we have between 50-60 members. We participate in Dungeons, World Events, sPvP and are looking to add members to create a stable WvW crew, which it sounds like you could be a part of. We have casual and semi-hardcore members. Xen of Onslaught [XoO] is seeking quality members for our GW2 division via direct individual recruitment and small guild acquisitions. Ideal candidates enjoy PvP and will exhibit activity levels of 15 to 40+ hours per week. XoO is a multi-game, PvP focused guild that was founded in 2002 and has had continuous activity across multiple games since that time. Among other gaming accomplishments we had a significant presence in the original Guild Wars, being named guild of the week in October of 2005 and participating at the world championships playoffs in 2006, being one of only eight US guilds to participate. As a guild we have demonstrated long term viability and experience in managing relatively high roster populations.
Primary Time Zones: The member base is primarily North American, with significant numbers in Europe and a small Oceanic region base that we would also like to expand. Our GW2 division is currently in the NA region.
What you can expect from XoO in Guild Wars 2:
We are a PvP focused community that will engage in frequent WvW on a competitive server and have sPvP teams anywhere on the skill spectrum from pick-up hot-join to high end competitive tourneys. There are PvX players in the guild and a good portion of the XoO membership intends to play through the PvE story and end-game content as well. We are an adult gaming guild with a matching atmosphere and will maintain this community philosophy in the GW2 community. XoO also has its own TS3 server with a relatively high population cap enabling it to support the community across multiple games simultaneously.
You will find that the XoO membership will help you push your game toward improvement whether you are a semi-casual player just trying to get decent gear and a decent skill level or you are a hardcore gamer seeking a competitive group to run with.
Requirements to join:
• 18 years or older
• Teamspeak 3 with working mic
• Desire to play and improve at PvP game modes
• At least a basic understanding of PvP concepts
• Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively in a competitive setting
• Ability to follow orders when needed, provide feedback when needed and the common sense to know which situation you are in at a given moment
• Be mature, friendly and able to take a joke. This is a group of adult gamers who compete, laugh and work to improve together.
