Guild Wars 2

Hey all.

I’m currently looking for an EU based guild for relaxed dungeon running.

About me:
My only lvl 80 is a Mesmer (the same class I played in GW1) which I plan to use for most of my time in-game. My current goal is to have all Light Armour skins, which I’ve managed so far with PUGs. I’m now on my last 2 dungeon sets – CoF and Arah, so I’d like to get a group of regulars together to help with this goal. But I’m not expecting purely CoF and Arah runs – I’d like to be able to share my experience with others for the dungeons I have previously done. My current available playtime is limited to weekdays after 6pm GMT and weekends. I currently reside on the Underworld server.

What I’m looking for:
1.) Regular dungeon runs during weekdays from ~6pm GMT onwards. Regular here means more than 1 per night. This could either mean a large guild with many players all running dungeons, or a small guild with active players who do regular runs. I’d prefer the later.

2.) Players with patience. That means no raging at each other when things go wrong and taking the time to teach new players the various paths – whether this be PUGs or other guildies.

3.) Ideally I’d like to play with people who do not believe in skipping content and enjoy taking their time going through a dungeon path. This does not mean I’m against skipping 100% of the time, but it is nice to take your time sometimes and kill the trash. I’m not looking for people who just want to farm tokens as fast as they can.

What I’m not interested in:
1.) Any form of PvP/WvW. If your guild partakes in these activities over dungeon activity please don’t not invite me. I’m fine if others want to play PvP/WvW, so long as dungeons take priority.

2.) Smack talk – I’m not interested in a guild which belittles others or trash talks about how great they are / how bad someone else is.

3.) Excluding players. This could be on things such as class, equipment or skill level. This also applies outside of the guild, for example if adding PUGs to fill teams. This also includes things such as age +18/21/30 players only.

4.) Voice chat. I’m not going to be joining any VoIP services to play a game. I’m kind of okay with others being on VoIP so long as I’m not expected to join – but ideally I’d like to stick with the good old keyboard. My stance on this may change over time depending on how things go.

5.) Fractals – I’m not interested in the slightest. If most of your runs involve fractals again please don’t invite me. I’m really only looking to run the dungeons present from launch.

6.) New guilds with many “plans”. If you’ve just started a guild and “plan to do dungeons” I’m not interested – you must be actively doing them now. So far 100% of the guilds I’ve joined with this promise do not fulfill it. Unless you can convince me otherwise please refrain from inviting me.

If you feel your guild meets these requirements let me know and we can maybe start a trial period.

1; Cant realy promise you a constant upptime of dungeon runs, nor always full guild groups. We have people doing dungeons all day long, so anyone who asks are able to grab guildies from the guildchat most of the time.
2; I can promise a rage free enviroment, as the guild has developed in such a way that such things are laughed off. Oh you might have the odd tease about something that happened, but the enviroment is focused on being friendly and fun. There’s a lot of enjoyable banter going on in guildchat.
3; if people want to clear a dungeon, doing so with guildies is the best aproach. As long as people state their intent, this will never be an issue. Our guildies will do both depending on who goes.

As for part 2;

1; We do have a few people doing a bit of WvWvW, but these do just as much PvE. There is no elitism tolerated in terms of pvp or pve being superior in the guild, whatever a player prefers to do its entierly up to them. We have people who dedicate themselves to pvp mostly, and a lot of people only dedicated to pve. There is what you could call an ballance here.

2; Such things haven’t happened, nor are they something we want our members doing. Jokes may be made about that odd ranger who kept leaping off the same cliff 10 times in a row, but nothing worse than that.

3; Excluding people is not something we do or tolerate, as this goes against our policy of do whatever you want and do it as long as you have fun. Nobody is told to sod off for being the wrong class or having the wrong build. Both inguild and pugs.

4; we have, but its optional for those who would like to use it. Nobody has ever been forced, nor will they be forced.

5; There are a few doing a fair amount of fractals, partly because this is where they can get the best income at the moment, however this is not to the extent that people wont do dungeons. If 5 people are in a fractal, chances are if asked that they will join for a dungeon once its done.

6; Guild has been present since beta. I will say that we have had a drop, and I can present no clear number of active players at this time, althought the rooster shows me 128 members at the current time. At any given time, sufficient people are presents. However, I do not encourage that new players should expect the guild to instantly give them what they expect and leave if something is not entierly as they’d like. Anyone is invited to help improve on the things they deem in need of improvement.

I have read your post and wanted to reply and offer you a spot in our small cozy laid back guild, if you dont mind to change servers.
We have members from Europe, the US, and other parts of the world.

We have 127 members atm, and we are steadily growing, but we
still maintain to keep the family feeling.

We have a mature member base, I would not mind taking a few
younger members, as long as it wont be the majority of our roster.

Although we are not huge, we have a very active group of people
now, we play every day and mostly play together in party.

We have weekly organized WvW/PvP, Dungeon & FotM runs, and even Music Night, and our members do all those activities together with other guild members every day as well, so you can easily join in a dungeon party.

We use RaidCall to talk, and a lot of us are on there on a daily basis as well.
