Guild Wars 2

Greetings fellow Tyrians,

I’m looking for some amiable allies with which to combine forces and achieve the unified goal of experiencing all the game has to offer and obtaining the sexiest lines of code we can find.

A little about the Internet me: I am a veteran of the original Guild Wars, beginning at launch. My MMO experience also includes four years of World of Warcraft and five years of EverQuest with several years each in high-end raiding and raid leadership mixed with some dabbling in PvP. In other words, I know my way around a dungeon. I currently play a mesmer in Guild Wars 2 and I’m leveling a warrior and elementalist.

This time around, I’m taking a laid-back approach to the MMO scene (something to do with careers and relationships, whatever that nonsense is). Here’s what I’m looking for in a guild:

Requirements:

• No more than 100 members. I don’t need another chat room to filter out with /m.
• A tight-knit guild where you’re a person and not a pixel. The people I enjoy playing with are the people I’d go out for drinks with afterwards – just like my non-digital friends.
• On a related note, a mature guild. I’m not going out for drinks with you if you have to bring your mom with to get in the bar.
• A guild with drama-free good humor and spirit. I deal with enough drama outside of Tyria – I don’t need it in my escape, too.
• A guild on the casual side of the spectrum, but with a shared philosophy of perpetual individual and group improvement. You don’t have to be the best but you should strive to be your best.
• A guild with no requirements of members to give time or resources. If life happens or I just don’t feel like logging in one night, I’m not going to play with you. Sorry – it’s not you, it’s me.
• A guild with a focus on PvE (dungeons, dynamic events, etc.) and WvW. A little PvP doesn’t hurt, either (just your feelings).

Preferences:

• A guild with a long history is a plus. A guild with a history in the original Guild Wars is a double plus.
• A guild with VoIP access. This won’t break the deal but it sure makes loving you a lot easier.

Additional Notes:

• I’m willing to transfer servers for the right guild, as long as the server still provides a rich and competitive WvW environment.
• I have one friend, currently playing a guardian and leveling a thief, who will be tagging along with me. If you have room for me in your guild, please also have room for another.

<3 We’re a PvX guild… we do lots of WvW and dungeons. Daily events, active TeamSpeak, and we’ve been together for about a year now, with some members having known me for 3+ years.

PS, 98% of us are above 21. We have slightly over 100 members but that’s considering the 20 allianced members we have and a handful of casuals/family/friends people invited. (Probably about 50 actives, with 40+ logging in each day, 25 people on max.) Guild chat is always tame in the spam regard.

Reading through your post, I think my guild, Sanctuary, would be a great fit. We are a small guild of 25 with about 15-20 of us logging in nightly. We started out back in WAR with just 6 of us and have built ourselves up till now. We have been through alot together and the core of our guild are members for life. We have a no nonsense approach to guild drama: just don’t do it and be respectful. Like you, most of our members have real life responsibilities but we still like to improve and progress as a guild, even if our pace is slower than more hardcore guilds. We run Dungeons twice a week and WvW (we are on JQ as well) for the rest of the time (we are also getting our toes wet with some sPvP).

To expand on Serenity and Scars:

We started up in GW2 but our members consist of mature gamers who have been around gaming for a very honorable amount of time. We’re at about 30 members right now and will not exceed 100 members [recruitment will be closing soon for a bit to allow for our new members to integrate without feeling as they’re sinking in a mass amount of people].

We are a close-knit guild founded by a couple (myself and my boyfriend) – in the hopes of creating a place for like-minded gamers to enjoy a casual but committed environment. We don’t believe in having requirements to be on a certain times or anything like that. I’m very proud of what SnS is and where we are going. We do a lot of dungeons and group events (and even more as we grow) and have quite a few WvW adventurers. We’re also VERY social and have our own mumble channel.

We like to tease, have fun and make our intelligent jokes. We’re also very woman-friendly and LGBT-friendly; immature [sexist/homophobic/racist/tasteless] jokes and comments aren’t appreciated in SnS. We aren’t prude in our humor, by any means, but we are considerate and find laughter in things with substance, if you get my drift.

Along with mumble we also have a website with forums for our members to enjoy. We’re around to offer a guild home so that there is no need to look for anything else. A community that you can enjoy and be comfortable in.

The majority of our members are in the CST/EST time zones with a few in PST and one in an oceanic time zone. We are most active on the weekends and from 4pm-2am weekday evenings. Hopefully that covers everything and I’m more than happy to answer any questions if you have any!

ToP MoB is a new North American guild, on the Gates of Madness server, with a team that has over 8 years of guild managing experience. We will be specializing in creating various skill sets of teams to be able and burn through the end game content all while helping each other out in many constructive ways in PvE and play competitively in PvP to achieve our end goal…….Dominating! It seems that there are a lot of guilds out there that have what we consider to be ludicrous requirements for membership.

“Moonies” are not required to spend any “set” amount of time in game. Log in when you feel like it. Once in, spend your time doing what is fun for you. If you like dungeons and pvp, enjoy! If those things are not your cup of tea, by all means, don’t do them! Keep your money! We will not “tax” you or ask you to contribute real life or game cash for anything. Ever. Group and participate in guild chat if/when you feel like it. Quietly do your thing solo if that’s what you enjoy.
WE DO ASK MEMBERS TO REPRESENT US 90% of the TIME.
This promotes community, and guild loyalty is rewarded.
