Hello all,

Yes this is my first post on the guild wars 2 forums. But we all gotta start somewhere.

MMO history:
SWG 2003-2009
SWTOR 2010(beta)-2012

Server: BlackGate

Age: 22

After playing SWG until it died, and SWTOR to the same extent, I found myself just worn out on the Star wars IP (almost an entire decade).

I love MMOs but HATE wow. I have tried to get into WOW so many times but failed.

I started playing GW2 right at launch, but the folks I followed over here from SWTOR have quit playing GW2, so I was left with a MMO that I was mostly playing solo. Being busy with school also, I shelved GW2 for the last month.

Ultimately I don’t know how to exist as a human being if I don’t get my weekly MMO fix. Being a full time college student, I simply do not have the kind of time I had in the past for MMOs. I would consider myself an X hard core player. (Plenty of Server firsts, and such in my past, but that is really not relevant here.)

I am currently playing a Guardian, I am level 60 right now, which I mostly equate to me putting the game down, as It feels like a solo game to me without being in a group, or on vent/ts/mumble.

What I am looking for: A medium sized guild (50-200 ish) members that is here to play GW2 for the long haul, I am tired of “game hopping”. The guild must make heavy use of voice communication.

Immediately I would like to group & level to 80, and then shift my focus to end game, of course helping others level up along the way.

I like a good mix of PVP, PVE & WVW (although I have really not done any WVW yet.)

Hey There Muscar!

I, one of the leaders of Wisdom Is Eternal[WISE], would like to invite you to our guild! We are into mostly doing PvE(Dungeon runs and events) and PvP(Mostly WvW). We are a medium sized guild that is looking to grow until we have a steady 25 people online during the day, evening, and early night.

We have joined an another guild in a small Alliance to promote a larger WvW community so we can be more successful. The Alliance is looking to have no more than 5 guilds to promote a healthy community within a few tight-knit guilds.

Also, I myself am 22, and the other leader is 23. We have quite a few people around your age, and am looking to stay in GW2 for the long run. I know you might be on BlackGate, we are on Crystal Desert though. Hopefully if you are interested, that isn’t too troublesome for you. Free transfers are still available, yet we are still full every now and then.

Wanted to share some information on our guild. We’re located on Isle of Janthir, our guild name is Valor [RUN].

We are currently recruiting players who wish to excel and improve in both PvE/Dungeon content, as well as the competitive aspects of WvW and sPvP.

We are a smaller more close-knit guild, and the majority of our members are adults, but we do have younger members as well. We do like to have fun and goof off, and most of all, enjoy the game and each other’s company. We like to keep drama to a minimum, but we hardly see it in such a close-knit community.

Currently sitting at 40 members total, and we’re about 10-15 active during weeknights (hey, we’re all adults and we all have day jobs), and usually 20+ during the weekends, where we spend most of our time doing WvW and Dungeon content. We are not a “zerg” guild and will not accept you without either an application or conversation beforehand, we don’t just blind invite anyone into the guild, nor will we retain all members who don’t meet our simple standards: good people, good players. We want to ensure that you’re a good fit for us, but most importantly, we’re a good fit for what you’re looking for. In the end, it’s a win-win for both parties.

We’re primarily a North American guild, I’d say 90% or more in the PST to EST timezone range. We do have a website, and a dedicated 50 slot Ventrilo server. We do have some additional information listed on the website, but it is still a work in progress.

I’d like to invite you to consider Cynical on Crystal Desert Server. We are a PVX, NA Guild of approx 80 players, focusing on PVE and WVW. On a normal night during primetime, we have approx 20-25 guild members on normally.

We regularly schedule Guild Dungeon/Map Completion events, as well as WvW Events. We are a member of a 14 guild alliance, and we participate with these guilds for large scale WvW events on weekends. Our guild events are optional, and we do have signups available. Your level of participataion is completely up to you!

We have a number of players new to the game still leveling, as well as players who are leveling second/third characters, so there is also opportunity for you to group up for events/leveling.

Cynical has full guild buffs available, as well as a max size guild bank filled with equipment and consumables for alts/new players etc. We also have a large voice chat server, and an active website updated constantly.

We have a strong community of players who are always willing to help eachother out, so hopefully you will consider Cynical as your new home!

Did I hear community? Seriously, that’s what we are. Some say we’ve become more of a social community than a gaming community… but we definitely still game. TeamSpeak is rarely empty, our Facebook group is nuts…. We are semi-hardcore, life-friendly, and welcome new people to our awesomeness with open arms.

I kinda had a feeling most potential guilds would not be on Blackgate. That is OK, as I am willing to do a server transfer to another healthy pop server.

Glad to see so many guilds recruiting. (My SWToR buds claim that GW2 is dead…) but they think any game is dead after a month of release.

lol my SWTOR friends say the same thing. Added you to friends Muscar, will chat you up when I see you in game next.

It’s pretty funny to hear of any SWTOR people throwing stones, given that their game lost 100s of 1000s of gamers, month after month, until crashing to become the worst MMO launch of all time and, soon to be F2P… and it’s not even a year old. LOL.
