Guild Wars 2

Hi, I am currently looking for a small but extremely social guild. I am 22, gay (so please be LGBT friendly), and have been playing mmo’s for years now. I played GW2 in beta, and for a month after release, but am just now getting back into it-and realizing how little I know about the game. So please be willing to be patient with a newbie.

When I say extremely social I am meaning more voip/family oriented guild. I don’t know if its just been bad luck, but so far every guild I have been in in GW2 were slightly social in guild chat, and hardly on voip unless there was an event. In other games I have played people were in voip constantly, and it makes the game more enjoyable. GW2 gets pretty lonely really quick when there aren’t many people to talk to.

The last thing is my play time. I work until 2am EST, so i generally play 2:30ikittenam every day, more on my off days. I would like the guild to be active in those hours as well, so I am not opposed to transferring servers to make this happen.

Let me tell you a little bit about why you might like my guild, MadCast. MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at www.madcastgaming.com. I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2).

We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Our community is made out of all levels of players.

We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.

Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum. This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

I’m almost from MadCast, and an admin from there as well. Redjustice covered pretty much everything, but I just wanted to add that I myself work till 1 am in the morning. I usually am the one running the events for the late night crew, so I can vouch for at least some presence at those hours of the night. I have been trying to push for members that can play at those kind of hours, because that is one of the best times for me as well.

Which server are you playing on? We use Teamspeak 3 pretty much any time we’re in game and are fairly small. Around 15-20 active members right now. We’re on Sea of Sorrow’s by the way.

Heya! Writhe [WRTH] is looking for new members. We are an established guild of over 4 years (we played on other games). We’re all pretty freakin’ close since we’ve known each other for so long.

A lot of what we do is PvE based sometimes WvW or sPvP depending on the mood. Personally I stare at the clock and realize I’ve been in WvW for 5 hours haha. We use raidcall to chat and someone is usually on there at any given time. We have some major chatterboxes.

As for being active, not an issue for us. A lot of us work or go to school so we understand you can’t spend your life on a game.

Our guild has been inactive for a while but now we’ve decided to start over and revive it! Hey Akira! You’re more than welcome to try out Guardians of the Mists [GOTM] on Jade Quarry. We have other gay members, and it’s definitely not an issue for us.

Our guild is primarily active during PST evenings, so it may be a little lax around the time you’re on, but we’re definitely working on expanding. I myself get online around 4:30 AM PST (7:30 AM EST) and we have several other members on around the same time as you.

We focus on PvE with dungeons, guild missions, fotm, and world events and also on SPvP tournies and hot-join games.

Oh no! Reading your post you sounded EXACTLY like what we are looking for to join Forbidden. But i got down to your playtime and became a bit concerned. We are a more latenight guild than most. Our events start around 9pm PST (midnight for you) and we are normally up till 1-2am PST (4-5am for you) but i fear that with you being on the more late end of the prime time that you wouldnt be able to enjoy the events and would miss the early sleepers entirely.

I do wish you the very best of luck, however, finding a guild that fits you as well as i had hoped we would lol. Stupid time differences -.- lol
