Hello Readers, I am Scarlot. I come here looking to find myself and a few friends a new home. We are a small (medium) group of players that have been playing together since 2007 or longer. We have attempted to stick throughout time, across games and now as we transition to GW2. So few of us have similar play times, and most of us are tired of playing alone (that’s right…it’s a sad day questing alone). And now together we stand looking for a good guild to call home.

About us:

*A home with friends and a game to play, not a 2nd or 3rd job

Xen of Onslaught [XoO] is seeking quality members for our GW2 division via direct individual recruitment and small guild acquisitions. Ideal candidates enjoy PvP and will exhibit activity levels of 15 to 40+ hours per week. XoO is a multi-game, PvP focused guild that was founded in 2002 and has had continuous activity across multiple games since that time. Among other gaming accomplishments we had a significant presence in the original Guild Wars, being named guild of the week in October of 2005 and participating at the world championships playoffs in 2006, being one of only eight US guilds to participate. As a guild we have demonstrated long term viability and experience in managing relatively high roster populations.

Primary Time Zones: The member base is primarily North American, with significant numbers in Europe and a small Oceanic region base that we would also like to expand. Our GW2 division is currently in the NA region.

What you can expect from XoO in Guild Wars 2:

We are a PvP focused community that will engage in frequent WvW on a competitive server and have tPvP teams anywhere on the skill spectrum from pick-up hot-join to high end competitive tourneys. There are PvX players in the guild and a good portion of the XoO membership intends to play through the PvE story and end-game content as well. We are an adult gaming guild with a matching atmosphere and will maintain this community philosophy in the GW2 community. XoO also has its own TS3 server with a relatively high population cap enabling it to support the community across multiple games simultaneously.

You will find that the XoO membership will help you push your game toward improvement whether you are a semi-casual player just trying to get decent gear and a decent skill level or you are a hardcore gamer seeking a competitive group to run with.

Requirements to join:
• 18 years or older
• Teamspeak 3 with working mic
• Desire to play and improve at PvP game modes
• At least a basic understanding of PvP concepts
• Ability to carry out tasks efficiently and effectively in a competitive setting
• Ability to follow orders when needed, provide feedback when needed and the common sense to know which situation you are in at a given moment
• Be mature, friendly and able to take a joke. This is a group of adult gamers who compete, laugh and work to improve together.

To Apply:
• Become familiar with the Code of Conduct (http://www.xoohq.com/coc.php). This is the core philosophy of our operations.
• Take the time to fill out a thoughtful application . We are seeking quality, skilled members to add to our existing base of the same, and applications that are not indicative of this level of quality will be rejected.
• A TS3 voice interview will also be required after application review. We strive to respond to applicants within 24 hours and are generally successful to this end.

It’s not so much of a process it’s just a fun application that allows you to be a member on the website and lets the leadership team know a little bit about you (including but not limited to your favorite super hero and internet meme).

I have read your post and wanted to reply and offer you and your friends a spot in our small cosy laid back guild.

We have only 32 members atm, and we are steadily growing, but we still maintain to keep the family feeling.

Most of our members are 18+ right now, I would not mind taking younger members, as long as it wont be the majority of our roster.

Although we are small, we have a very active group of people now, we play every day and mostly play together in party.

It seems that there are a lot of guilds out there that have what we consider to be ludicrous requirements for membership.

“Moonies” are not required to spend any “set” amount of time in game. Log in when you feel like it. Once in, spend your time doing what is fun for you. If you like dungeons and pvp, enjoy! If those things are not your cup of tea, by all means, don’t do them! Keep your money! We will not “tax” you or ask you to contribute real life or game cash for anything. Ever. Group and participate in guild chat if/when you feel like it. Quietly do your thing solo if that’s what you enjoy.
WE DO ASK MEMBERS TO REPRESENT US 90% of the TIME.
This promotes community, and guild loyalty is rewarded.

Hello Scarlot, you could try our Lucky Star Guild

We are a casual PvX guild – even though we have alot of anime/gamers we also have many non-anime fans who like our casual environment. We have many guild upgrades, currently working on Architecture Level 5 and always have guild buffs up and running.

Wow. So many replies – will probably blend into the prior responses, but I’ll put down my 2 cents anyways XD

Currently, I’m playing with Ironbreakers in Sea of Sorrows server (US). We are a relatively small guild, but with a good base of active members. The guild is actually an amalgamation of several smaller guilds, so I guess if you made the move (assuming you haven’t already), it would be kind of the norm for us.

I’m only a officer for the guild, but I know for a fact the leaders of the guild are awesome. They’re pretty laid back, but also very active and looking to keep the guild as little drama as possible, which quite frankly suits us. I think it just stems from not taking ourselves too seriously, whilst still getting things done.

We have a fair mix of members: a lot of Aussies, Americans, and then some in between those timezones. Finally, on current trends, we tend to spread ourselves over WvW and PvE pretty evenly, but tend to focus a bit more on PvE in order to level other guildies quickly or level our alts.
