Guild Wars 2

Hello,

I am writing as a former WoW and GW1 officer that didn’t have the luck of finding the right place or the right people to play with yet. I’ve been trying to bring our former guild alive, but without any success. Most players are looking for large guilds. Large guilds where they are none. None knows you, because you are one of many. I don’t like that concept at all.

I’m looking for a small mature and active guild, whose members I can laugh and goof around with in the game doing whatever we feel like. Also, I’d like to reserve a spot for a friend that can’t play at the moment, but will be joining us sometime soon.

Few things about me, I’m a 4th year university student at the moment, working a part-time job. I’m gaming since forever, been through DaoC, WoW, GW1 to name a few games. When I’m not outside with friends/gf, I’m home playing. Real life comes first to me.

I run an actively casual guild on Devona’s Rest and we’re always looking for more players interested in joining our ranks. We have weekly events, such as dungeon runs and WvW, but we’re also the spontaneous type that will decide on the hour to do something. Interesting that you played DAOC as that was my first MMO (And possibly my favourite). From your description it sounds like you would fit in as we are a tight knit guild but recruiting to boost our members as some have recently quit the game.

You didn’t mention which server you are on but if you don’t mind changing server then you may be interested in joining Darkveil on Gandara.

Darkveil is a Guild Wars 2 guild for English speaking, non hardcore, mature players. We like to get regular events and raids organised, but we also respect that our members have real lives outside the game and that the game is for fun and relaxation. We pride ourselves on a relaxed and fun attitude to the games that we play.
We originated way back in the early days of DAOC where we ran a fun and friendly guild doing both PvE and RvR. Since DAOC a lot of our members went their separate ways to different games but we reunited for Guild Wars 2 as we believe that this offers the closest gaming experience to old DAOC RvR.
We run regular groups both for PvP and PvE and organise events for all members to join, at all levels. Having played various MMOs over the years, we appreciate the need for organisation for events but without putting pressure on the guild members.
We have a guild forum and mumble server which we use for dungeons or pve groups.
If you like to play MMOs, have a mature attitude and are either a casual player or semi hard core, then you may be interested in joining us for some fun. We invite you to visit our guild and talk with us either in game or on vent. . What would it hurt? The majority of our guild is 21 and older, but we also have down to 18 of age. We are all working class and/or university students and/or have families to take care of. We are mainly American and Canadian time zones, but have a few Euros from England, Finland and other areas that came with us from Guild Wars(so International guild). We log on to have fun and relax, so I am guessing you would consider us a casual guild. We have people may do one or a mixture of all > Pve, Pvp, dungeons, and Wvw. We don’t want to make the game a job, because that not what games are for. We are slowly rebuilding the guild at this time. We are looking for people, willing to help us grow. We are friendly and will do what we can or when we can for others in the guild. We enjoy new people, thoughts and ideas. Each new person brings a special gift or unique quality to add to the guild. We also have Xbox players and Ps3 players.

I have read your post and wanted to reply and offer you a spot in our small cozy laid back guild, if you dont mind to change servers.
We have members from Europe, the US, and other parts of the world.

We have 79 members atm, and we are steadily growing, but we
still maintain to keep the family feeling.

We have a mature member base, I would not mind taking a few
younger members, as long as it wont be the majority of our roster.

Although we are small, we have a very active group of people
now, we play every day and mostly play together in party.

We have weekly organized WvW/PvP, Dungeon runs, and even Music Night, and our members do all those activities together with other guild members every day as well.

We use RaidCall to talk, and a lot of us are on there on a daily basis as well.
