I’m looking for a Guild that has active members that are mature and actually work as a guild. I like to explore and play all that GW 2 has to offer. I’m an old school WoW player, I was a Guild leader for 7 years of a very tight knit small group of 10-15 players and all were friends. We all worked together to better our guild and its members. Its a team working cohesivly together that wins the war. I’m a casual player but I am on most days of the week. Im not looking for a huge guild just to have the big numbers and not a guild where people barely speak to each and don’t help other guildies. I’m older and have a life outside of GW2 so no guilds with time commitments and loss of rank or deductions for not participating. I’m a leader by nature and like to work on areas that a guild can improve in or help build up stock in the guild bank, and helping guildies whatever the need maybe. All for one and For for all I say. I have a LVL 80 Ranger on Fort Aspenwood named Tersek. I’m am willing to move servers for the right guild. I feel I would be a valuable assest to any true guild. Based off of your dedication to being a productive, friendly member of a guild, we’d love to have you in The Dead Gods on Blackgate. We do things as a guild often, whether it be WvW, sPvP, or just general events. Nothing’s mandatory, you can come to events as often or as rarely as you please.

We have a generally active guild chat, but it could be better. About 30 of our members are active, but they aren’t all talkative. We have a few members who really like to talk, and who we’ve grown close to over time. But hell, we talk about some weird kitten sometimes, haha.

Our promotion system has three ranks under the leader. All ranks have access to the guild vault, guild armor, and guild bonuses like banners and such. The lowest rank is a little limited, but can still withdraw from the bank and take the bonuses. Promotion is based off of activity in the guild. If we see you online often and talking in guild chat, you get promoted to the next rank. If you show leadership in WvW, sPvP, or a dungeon, you become an officer. It’s simple, and it’s worked so far!

We use skype to communicate over voice for now, but we’ll look at getting a teamspeak in the future, in case you care about that thing.

I am Jaskra. I’m the leader of I Wanna Be a Super Villain [EVIL] a PvE/PvX guild on the server Blackgate and our guild might just the the style you’re looking for. I am also a former WoW player of 7 years, I played a Resto/Feral Druid primarily named Jaskra, and finally decided to move on to a newer game. Surprisingly, we have many members in our guild that are former WoW players as well. I spent a long time with great people in WoW, but it was time to move on. I have loved my time here in GW2 since the beginning of December.

I began EVIL in the hopes of creating a friendly family-like casual guild that had people that just wanted to play and help one another. Overall we just wanted to enjoy the game with others. I wanted to create a guild like I had had before in WoW. So far I think we’re succeeding and we plan on continuing to do so. We are really focusing on bringing in players such as yourself who are after a fun an helpful environment.

Hello! I think you will find a family atmosphere in our guild. While we do not consider ourselves casual, we have no mandatory time commitments and will never force you to do/play/etc something you don’t want to or can’t. We left that behind in WoW.

We’re older and wiser as well. Most of the guild is in their mid 20s to 30s but we range from ages 19-51 currently.

Hi Terse, i’m glad to see there are players like you still around, guys who are looking for new guilds for the fun and friendships that can be built from within a friendly, smaller, causal guild. you most likely will be pitched ‘this is what my guild can do for you’ from anywhere from 10-20 different guilds, and about 90% of those will come from guilds with 100+ members, which can easily be discarded. the rest will come from guilds which would truly love to have you join for more reasons than to just add a new member/body.

the guild i’m in is Semper Moxie[MXE], and we have 38 members in the guild, with about 25 of us active 5-6 days a week. we’re located on Yak’s Bend and typically like to run some dungeons, fractals, or anything fun in PVE (we dive into WvW every so often, and a couple of players like to play around in sPVP). we have absolutely no rules or requirements other than for our members to attempt to keep the guild chat clean (notice i said to attempt to keep it clean, sometimes it’s just not possible to do.). no one is required to rep our guild 100%, nor are we required to attend every single guild function we set up, nor are we required to login every day, etc, etc.

it’s a great group comprised mostly of adults who are +25 yrs old, with a few of us +40 (i myself am 40). we’re a friendly, casual, social bunch with an intent of helping each other out, and generally goofing off in-game. we all have families, jobs, and other responsibilites that will always take precedence of playing GW2. we’re a pretty diverse group with an inexplicably high number of female players, along with a number of players from Canada, Mexico, and England.

We just finished building out Art of War V late last night, so we’re ever so close to having the ability to start having good times with Guild Bounties. Voice chat is available if you’d like to use it via Ventrillo, and we have recently put up a website at mxe.enjin.com (for forums, calendar events, and news).

We’d love for you to join our group and experience the comaraderie of this guild. If interested, please feel free to reply to this post or send me a PM/Mail here or in-game. if you give us a shot, no need to transfer servers until you’re comfortable, guesting is just way too easy to do now.

Hi Terse,

The name of our guild is Just Us Grown Ups or [JUGs] and we could be just the guild you’re looking for.

We are a very friendly, very casual adult guild who value community above anything else. Everyone in the guild has a great relationship with each other and people are always helping each other out—provided they have the free time..

We are a small—but growing (close to 60 members)—guild catering to the 30+ crowd. We are very laid back and just want to game, hang out and avoid drama.

Our guild does have an age requirement in place to keep the environment mature; almost all of our members are men and women between the ages of 30-55. We do allow people 25-30 to apply but their admission must be voted on.

We are primarily a PvE guild but some of us also jump into the WvW realms every now and then.

Our guild is happy to take in members, regardless of experience level. If you want to learn, we’ll answer your questions; if you have knowledge to pass on, we’ll listen.

We’re small at the moment, but have been averaging about two new players a day. To be honest, I’d prefer a small guild full of tight-knit members as opposed to a large guild that’s basically comprised of small cliques.

In my estimation, a guild’s success is not due to its accomplishments, but of how much people enjoy being a part of it.

The guild is run with a ‘hands-off’ approach and most matters in the guild are handled by vote. We don’t make demands or requirements other that you have a good time when you’re with us.

All of us have real lives that come first and no one’s going to pressure you in any way to spend more time with the guild than you can.

I created the guild so there would be a good gaming environment free of the tension and drama of the hardcore guilds which are usually comprised of younger players.

We’re on the Jade Quarry server so a transfer, unfortunately, would be necessary if you’d like to join us. You can, however, feel free to try us out as a guest. You could join our guild, share in our guild chat channel, run dungeons with us, talk to us on our Ventrilo server, and see what we’re like—the only thing you wouldn’t be able to do is participate in WvW combat with us. It’s like ‘leasing with the option to buy.’

We have both Ventrilo and Mumble voice servers. We also have a feature-rich website where you can create and co-ordinate events that other members can sign up for.

We’ve got a Small/Medium sized guild on Darkhaven called Order of Shadows that is an 18+ guild mostly comprised of family and friends, making it a very tight knit community that thrives on helping each other out and enjoying the game together. We’d be more than happy to welcome you to our family as well!

We have just over 40 members with about 20 or so active regularly, if this sounds like something that would work for you.

While we mostly focus on PvE, we do run events every week, everything from wvw, dungeons, fractals and we just unlocked the first guild missions and we’ll be scheduling those as well. We mostly run off of CST, however we have a large mix of time zones in the guild itself as well. If you’re looking for a family like guild where members actually talk and have fun our guild Rising Alpha[Ra] is perfect. We’re a new laid-back guild, located in Magumma server. We have 10 active members right now and we’re looking to expand a bit. We focus a lot on dungeons, fractals, events and help each other on the odd quests and skill points. We do around 2 dungeon runs per night. No pressure in requiring members to participate.

Good morning. Right now GW2 is going through it’s shifting process that all MMOs go through at some point At least, that is my opinion on the situation. My guild is about a month old. Our core group of veteran players in online almost every night. We have become like a family with little inside jokes, general conversation in TS3 and the willingness to just go help each other. I won’t say we are the only guild like this or that we are the best guild for you. I believe people will find what they are looking for, and the people in EfLA have made this their home. You’ve gotten a ton of invites so far, and probably even more PMs, but I felt compelled to post this because your OP sounds like the sort of thing I specifically look for in all new members of VZ.

VZ is an active, medium-sized, PvX guild on the Stormbluff Isle server. We do all end-game content, but primarily focus on PvE dungeons / fractals, and we have many masters in the guild of this sort of content and fractals and more. We also run WvW periodically if that tickles your fancy, though we’re not a huge presence there. Furthermore, we do weekly guild missions for those lovely commendations.
