Welcome! Lumen in Tenebris (Latin for “A Light in Darkness”) is a guild on Guild Wars 2’s Eredon Terrace Server, currently with 45 members. We are a laid back group that can be counted on to tromp across Tyria for you, whether you’re looking for a team for a dungeon or WvW, want to smash a dragon champion, need a hand getting through a story instance, grinding for that Legendary weapon, or just want a buddy to clear a map with. Or, if you’re feeling bored with leveling, you can always join in on one of our occasionally eyebrow raising conversations in the guild chat and website forums, and we will definitely keep you entertained! If you’ve got questions or are looking for advice, you’ll find your answers there, too. Our members are of a wide age range and from all walks of life, and even from both sides of the world. Some students, some with full time jobs, some with kids, some who will always be kids. We have a range of player types, from weekenders to the serious ones you’ll see almost everyday.
Our guild isn’t a strict one. There are no requirements to use our voice chat server, be at a specific place at a specific time, or donate X amount to the bank just to keep your membership. Guild Wars is a game, and games are for fun! So, be nice to each other and support the guild, which means supporting each other. Help out, and you earn help in return. Yay Karma!
We do intend to take full advantage of the upcoming Guild Quest system, and we’ll also be setting up events for achievements such as the Dungeon Master title, map completion, jump puzzles, temples, and whatever randomness we decide to throw in.
We have a 10 person Mumble server (that can be upgraded for more users as necessary), but, as I mentioned, it’s there for the benefit of guildies, and there are no requirements to use it.
Currently, the majority of our members are most active on weekday evenings and especially weekends, but, since we do have members from multiple time zones and countries, you’ll almost always be able to find someone online. We particularly need more people from the eastern hemisphere to keep our members from Australia company while the rest of us are asleep, heh.
More important than anything is that we all have a place where we can have fun, be ourselves, and know that we’ve always got good friends and lots of mayhem waiting for us when we log-in to the game. If that sounds like a plan to you, then you’ll fit in nicely with us, heh.
