The Dolyak Defense Division [ÆGIS] is a well-rounded and competitive-yet-casual Guild formed to explore and conquer the various challenges that the second installment of GuildWars has to offer. Our main selling point is that we’re good at what we do, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. While we take pride in our achievements and maintain a healthy dose of confidence, we don’t let it get to our heads; we play the game to have fun. The glory and loot are the welcome byproducts. If that sounds like you, by all means, read on.

(re)Formed, as most guilds will at some point, from bits and pieces of previous guilds and friends’ lists, [ÆGIS] has a diverse roster, spanning several continents and timezones. Rather than spreading us thin, this enables [ÆGIS] to maintain a wide presence, allowing us to accomodate players from both the US and EU, and keep a good overview throughout the ups and downs of World versus World in the PvP department.

Though tight-knit in terms of comraderie and commitment, we’re an open-minded group, which welcomes new players and new ideas alike. We don’t like the limitations of set-in-stone hierachies, preferring to operate something of a meritocracy in regard to the day-to-day running of the guild. If you’ve ever joined one (and I have), you’ll know there are guilds out there that put new members on an (unspoken) trial period. [ÆGIS] prefers a different approach. If you’ve got an idea, suggestion, or just a random thought, you’ll not only be free, but welcome, to voice it in orange chat or on the forums.

Inevitably, we’ll come to that point where you’re wondering what the heck it is we actually do on GuildWars 2. I’ve hinted at it a little. The short answer is easy: have fun. The slightly longer answer is general PvE progression, dungeon runs, and more than a generous dollop of PvP, primarily in the form of World versus World. Whether you’re stuck on something in PvE and need someone to unstuck you, or you feel like being that one group in WvW that consistently fights uphill battles and wins; we’ve got what you need, and then some.

What is it we ask from our members? Not much aside from the obvious. We boast a drama-free roster and intend to keep it that way. And we like to see people online every now and again.

Dolyak Defense Division is still recruiting players. We offer a small stable environment and a chance to meet and befriend other players who love the game in all its facets. ÆGIS is recruiting members!

We have undergone heavy re-structuring and are looking to build the guild back up. Currently 25 active members.

We are PvX, looking to expand on our WvW presence in Blackgate. We maintain an objective-oriented strike force structure.
Peak times for the guild are weekends, and everyday between 6pm UTC (1pm EST) until 11pm UTC (6pm EST).

Members are mostly transatlantic (EU and EST) but with a fair spread across the globe.

Other details:
- Consistent Guild bonuses
- Unlocked Guild Bounty and Guild Trek (now working on Guild Rush)
- Regular PvE (for the necessary things like golds and gears)
- Participation in tPvP (we like that stuff, organized teams make us happy)
