As we speak I am installing GW2. Though reluctant at first I decided I would finally give this game a go. I never played GW or, GW2 before, but have gaming experience. Over the years I’ve spent some time in a few MMO’s EQII, SWG, TSW, COH, SWTOR, DCUO, MxO, AION. Sadly a few of those listed are dead and gone.

Regardless I am a mature player 30 years young to be exact, who is looking for a mature guild that is both fun and respectful. As well as active, adventuristic and helpful that will not only welcome a new member, but someone who’s never played the game. RP is welcome, but not a major requirement of mine.

Crimson Guards United Gaming Recruitment :

In 2003 a small group of friends founded CG to play casually and focus our time on one game. It soon took off into more then one game and developed into what we now call “Crimson Guards United” gaming. Guild Wars 2 was chosen for its impressive MMO game play style which sets itself apart from most MMO’s and as of right now we have been openly recruiting on Jade Quarry.

Guild Focus: Right now our main focus for the guild is PvE Dungeoning, Dailys, Monthlys, and Group Events. Once we recruit more members into CGU we will shift our focus from this to Guild WvW and the newly added Guild Missions. We know some members like to do Dungeons or just PvE in general more than doing WvW or PvP so now members are required to do one or the other. Here with CGU Gaming we believe in letting every member do what they enjoy in-game and we believe in-turn thats what makes the Guild better as a division.

Division Requirements :

So, we wanted to set up a strong division here on Guild Wars 2 and so far its on the right track. We are currently accepting all skills levels and character levels. Our only requirement is 16+ years of age, to keep drama out of our guild so every mature player can have a fun experience in our guild. To join our leadership you must show you will be active, show you have what it takes to lead, and be able to promote CGU. It won’t we easy to start off but the leadership positions may go fast. We usually let our current active members on Guildwars make the final decision who they want to represent them.

Just finished installing. It currently says that following servers are full. Jade Quarry, Blackgate, Dragonbrand, Tarnished Coast. Is this subject to change? Still undecided server wise.

Also I forgot to mention my time zone is US Est.

Heya! Writhe [WRTH] is a small casual guild looking for new recruits. We currently have 40 members. Most of our players are new players learning the game. We have a group of experienced players who help guide them through leveling and learning the game mechanics. There’s no such thing as a stupid question with us. If you need help learning more about your class or just want people to hang out with we might be right for you.

We are on Fort Aspenwood, which is in Tier 2 (of in 6th place (of 25) for WvW even though we face larger numbers.

I am one of the servers you mentioned that is full- Dragonbrand. I’m not sure about your current guild status, but I might as well give you a little spiel. I am from Brain Eaters Inc [luv] it is very small (11 right now) we enjoy the spvp/tpvp/dungeons/ and stuff w/our alliance guild which includes wvw and guild bounty type stuff. I do not require you to be on dragonbrand, but just so you know all the servers have their own influence so we have most of our influence on dragonbrand. We have almost all the lvl 3 tree buffs, raid call, guild stash, and a site.. the link to the site is below. I hope you consider us. I too have played some of the games you mentioned above..well two. swtor and eqII. I only played EqII for a little bit though.

Hi Ergo! First off, since you are new to Guild Wars, welcome! It is an awesome game and there are many great communities out there. I hope you find the right one for you, as a good group of friends make the game exponentially better.

I made this guide the other day: http://www.madcastgaming.com/forum/showthread.php?13932-So-You-Want-to-Play-Guild-Wars-2&p=127494 for newer players. It covers things that are not explicitly mentioned in the tutorial. You may know some of them, but if not maybe it will help you out.

My guild, MadCast Gaming, is on Sanctum of Rall, but don’t feel pressured if you have already selected another server. Guesting is a really great feature of GW2 that will allow you to do everything with people on another server EXCEPT for WvW. If we end up being a good fit, you can join the guild on another server and save Coin to buy Gems if you like, and transfer later. (Give us a test run first though) We are happy to help dedicated and involved members save for the transfer.

To guest on a server, go to your character select screen. In the bottom left hard side is a button for select your server. You can click on any server on the list that you would. Two buttons show, one for guesting and one for transferring. Guesting lasts for 24 hrs or until you log out, so whenever you want to play on your guild server you will have to pull up the menu and select it. This is fast and easy though, so you will probably not find it inconvenient.

MadCast is a gaming community that is bigger than GW2, but we are working on growing our GW2 sector right now. You can check out our website at www.madcastgaming.com. I especially suggest you read through the forums some to get a feel for what we are all about! Here are some points you may find attractive about MadCast:

We have a mature community. While MadCast has no specific age requirements we do have high expectations for maturity. You will find kind, patient people and no drama. The vast majority of our members are over 18 (especially in GW2).

We are a serious community with casual gameplay. In other words, the main expectations we have for members revolves around positive contribution to the community and not on a packed GW2 schedule attendance. If you are active in the forums and show up to a few events a week, that is good enough for us. Our community is made out of all levels of players. We have many very new players, some new to gaming in general, and our environment is built on kindness and helpfulness. Everyone in there will be happy to answer you questions and guide you through things.

We have a super awesome, active TeamSpeak group. We enforce strict rules of respectfulness and tolerance among our players, making it a safe friendly place for everyone. People of all types feel comfortable joining in the conversation and making new friends.

Our community is bigger than in-game. We have a website with a lot of activity and heavy forum use. This is a huge asset because we have people who play all kinds of games over at MadCast, and the forums really serve as the uniting factor among people.

If you check out our website, you will see information about becoming a Full Member of MadCast. This is not something you need to do right away. Our guild welcomes ‘Associate’ Members, meaning we will add you to the guild, you are free to use our TeamSpeak and join our Forums, but you do not have complete access rights for inviting people to the guild yourself, or accessing certain Full Member parts of our forum. This is a good way to find out if MadCast is the right fit for you before applying. In the long run, to gain any ranking position, we require people to be an official MadCast Full Member.

Jaded [Jade] is a fairly well established PvX guild on Darkhaven since launch. We are recruiting active, friendly, and mature members!

Our leaders have a lot of experience with mmos and have been together for years. We are a family-style guild looking to form long-term friendships through PvE and PvP. We have a forum (check us out there jaded.boards.net) a Facebook and a vent.
