Guild Wars 2

Hey guys, so before I go ahead and create my character, I am looking to find a guild to join, so I can just create my character on that server. I assume server transfers are a paid thing. Some information about me:

-I’m a 22 year old, living in the United States (the Northeast, more specifically)
-I’m about to graduate college, and looking for full time employment (as a writer)
-I played WoW for like 5 years, so I am very familiar with MMO’s
-I generally like to help people, and enjoy a friendly, family like atmosphere

I’d like to find a semi-active guild (with at least 10 active members) preferably with a Vent channel. I look forward to meeting you guys online!

I realize you say that you want to make your characters with the guild, so that brings me to my main question: Are you looking for a guild you can explore the PvE wilderness and level up with? Or are you looking for a guild you can hang out with people and chat, but that focuses primarily on end-game content for when you get there (leveling is fast in GW2).

If you’re looking for the latter, then [VZ] seems like it’d be a good fit (we use TS instead of Vent, hope you don’t hate us!). We are an average size guild that focuses on end-game content, but we’re primarily looking for friends, so we’d be more than happy to chat it up with you as you level, and do dungeons and other end-game content with you as you get there. If you’re looking for the former, then you probably wouldn’t find what you’re looking for in VZ (though you’d be more than welcome to join regardless). Either way, though, I hope you find what you’re looking for in a guild. It’s one of the most important parts of the game.

We’re on Borlis Pass. It’s a great place and even has a nice community site, http://borlis.org.

Fun may look all small and new, but I’m super active in the community. We got lots of friends that are the best at WvW, sPvP, and PvE. Fun’s pretty casual, but we’re focusing on helping new people get into the game and community.

If you end up outgrowing us or just wanna do something different, we can help you find a new home, too. We just want everyone to have fun!

Yeah, this actually sounds like a rather good fit then. I’m kind of the same way; when it comes to leveling and questing, I like doing it on my own, but I’m always down for a dungeon when anyone in the guild asks (and I’m not already in one). So long as you’re willing to learn and aren’t going to judge harshly for optimizing runs for time expediency, then that’s great. We actually just had a newer guild member hit 80 the other day on his first character, and he’s pretty much exclusively done so by doing dungeons with us (and on his own, too, during the off hours). We’re mostly EDT, and lots of us have career-related jobs that keep us busy until 7-8PM. Your current level or class in a dungeon largely doesn’t matter so long as you’re willing to learn the tactics and are at least decent at the game (being good at mitigating damage is crucial). For the record, the first actual dungeon is at level 35 (AC Exp), but that gives you 35 levels (they go quick) to explore the world and get used to the combat system and things.

Hello Alvas!

We’ve got a Small/Medium sized guild on Darkhaven called Order of Shadows that is an 18+ guild mostly comprised of family and friends, making it a very tight knit community that thrives on helping each other out and enjoying the game together. We’d be more than happy to welcome you to our family as well!

We have just over 40 members with about 20 or so active regularly, if this sounds like something that would work for you. We have a mix of vets and newer players alike, so if you’re ever looking for company leveling/questing, we have people of all different levels.

While we mostly focus on PvE, we do run events every week, everything from wvw, dungeons, fractals and we just unlocked the first guild missions and we’ll be scheduling those as well. We mostly run off of CST, however we have a large mix of time zones in the guild itself as well. We don’t expect attendance for anything since we all have lives outside the game which are way more important, but we do encourage everyone to join in. Our guild Rising Alpha[Ra] is a family like guild perfect for you. We’re a new laid-back guild, located in Magumma server. We have 10 members right now and we’re looking to expand a bit. We focus a lot on dungeons, fractals, events and help each other on the odd quests and skill points. We do around 2 dungeon runs per night. Hey Alvas, I read over everything you’ve posted/been looking for and I sent you a private Message in regards to Tribe [TRB] on Jade Quarry. We use Mumble (not Ventrilo) and are a very active/helpful guild.
